I never really heard of a good black doctor till now!

Instead of good : Highly recommend black doctor till now!

You are proably thinking I am racial. Well to tell you I proably am to you. I don't believe in same sex marriage, and I don't believe in black and white person marriage. Don't ask why or tell me I shouldn't b.c that I what I believe in and you may feel differently about and you may feel the same about it.
The really reason I am writing this article is, you might have caught in the title, but the man you worked on my dad was black. He was highly recommend to do this surgery, even though I was ifie about it at first, I am glad my mom said okay for him to do it, because my dad came out fine.
I guess I am looking at things differently because I really never thought of a Black person beginning highly recommend to do this short of thing. I guess because maybe I am white that I see things differently. I don't know. But what shocked me the most was that a white doctor wasn't highly recommend just a black.
I don't know if this happened for a reason to make me see this or not. I don't know if this has happened to you or not.
My look on people has changed and the way I see different color people, but my beliefs in not having same sex marriage and a black and white person marrying does not, even an asian marrying a white. I believe that a white should marry a white and a black marrying a black and so on.

I know you meant for it to be a nice article but to be 100% honest I think it was disgusting! Maybe you've never been out of the country? All I know is that half the time whites are less likely to be the best at this kind of stuff because most of us have had stuff handed to us our whole lives where as the minorities have had to fight discrimation all that time. It makes many of them stronger and therefore able to rise above "us".

And, exactly who are you to say that too people can't get married just because they look different? My best friend from Gahanna had a black mom and white dad and there is absolutely nothing wrong with him. In fact, he's probably a better musician than Alan could ever be. Your narrow mindedness here disgusts me.

I realize you didn't want to here that but the truth is more important than what you think. If you would just try getting to know more about different cultures even in America you'd understand why, what you posted here was just a load of bull.

Capt. over and out!

P.S.~ I think you could use a dose of my article I just wrote.

if you owned a computer, you could very easily google and discover (on the very first hit) the first open heart surgery was performed by a black surgeon, the doctor who developed the method for obtaining blood plasma was black...and the surgeon who discovered how to prevent rejection of transplanted organs was black.

I feel like I just stepped in a time machine and read a poorly written journal entry from the 50's or something.

I think that you may want to learn a bit more about "Black History".  Secondly, you may want to read your articles before you publish them.  It's hard to even read most of it because it is so grammatically incorrect. (such as this sentence: "The really reason I am writing this article is, you might have caught in the title, but the man you worked on my dad was black.")

It's really an eye opener for me, though.  I've been trying to figure out why we still have so many racial issues, and now I know.

I just see people as people.  People are born with many different traits.  Traits that nobody can control.  Skin color is just one of those traits.  Being of a certain color is no different than being tall, short, having blue eyes, having black hair, etc.  There are brilliant people from every race. You will miss out a lot in life if you continue to discount people simply because of a physical trait.

Well, I'm surprised that some people are still against interracial marriage, but I am happy that you realized that race is not a factor in one's competence as a doctor.

I am inclined to agree, black hookers (colony girls) go that extra mile to please the white customer. This is because they have had to fight discrimination their entire lives, being told they couldn't be hookers, which is terribly prejudiced indeed. I wish I were a black hooker.

Wow....Stacey, I know you TRIED to mean well...but it sounded like you just walked off of a plantation out of "Uncle Tom's Cabin". I mean this entire article is completely racist....I think you need to take some time and reflect on your ideals a bit....well, before you end up married to the Grand Wizard of the KKK......shit....

I can barely find words...

This article is shocking, sad, disheartening, and scary. Your article is so poorly written, it is barely readable. Your thoughts belong to another generation. Do you feel and believe these things because your parents do?

Honestly, I am at a loss for words at the moment. Zoo is right, do some serious reflection (and proofreading).

For some reason I don't know why but everybody I seemed took my article the wrong way. It might be they way I wrote it and if it was I am sorry.
What I was trying to say was I was happy to have a doctor of a different color that helped my dad in a time of need. And that it made me look at people differently.
This article wasn't suppose to make you angry or mad at me or even tell me I should get out of Amanda whoever that was. I was trying to say that I was happy to have a great doctor that worked on my dad. If it came out the wrong way I am sorry. I never ment it to happen like that.
I don't care if people marry between races. I just don't believe in it. If you want to call me racist, than do so but I am not going to not tell the truth about. I was raised like that and that is just the way I see things. You may think they are wrong and you may not. But most of you from the looks of it thinks it is wrong.
I never ment this article to affend anyone by all means.
I was just shocked of all the naste and negative comments I got. I was happy to have a doctor like him and I would go up and thank him. I just thought it was odd and unusally to see someone like him in a locate area that we are in, I figured he would be in a more populated area.
So sorry if I affend anyone by all means I didn't want to.

I know you didn't mean to but seriously i was so taken aback i wanted to vomit. Okay, I've dated a black person before okay, and it was so annoying (we went to tennesee with the rest of our youth group) and people would stare at us and mutter things to each other as if we were from outer space, those people were just like you stacey and you need to open your eyes. DO NOT tell me not to reply my opinon because by writing the article you were asking for it. Sorry i know you mean well stacey, i really do, and i'm glad that your looking at it from a different perceptive now, but seriously stacey, i thought you were bigger than that whole racial scene.

Stacey, why are you shocked? Over the internet, people can't see how outraged or upset you are, so as far as everyone assumes, you wrote your article very calmly after thinking it over for some time. Which is muy bad. I hope you said all that bullshit in a fit of rage or depression or something, because it's just that: bullshit. You could have just stopped at the doctor thing and your opinion only would have drawn maybe half a dozen really bad comments. But then you started throwing in stuff about gay marriage and interracial marriage, so you brought a whole new can of worms into the argument.

Kissing ass won't really help now. You said it already, and most everyone has formed an opinion about you. Take a shot at what that opinion may be.

if you don't mind my asking, where are you from and how old are you?

I recently overheard two white guys bitching about how Febuary was black history month and how it was racist and unneccessary. This post is an example of how it IS neccessary in many schools (I'm assuming that you live in a mostly white, fairly isolated community).

Also, although I essentially agree with what people have posted, I have read far more ignorant ramblings from other users on JU who were more adamant in their hostility towards those who have a different group affiliation from themselves. Although I agree that she has much to learn and experience, at least she realizes that her point of view is capable of changing.

Oh, I agree with you. Also, brown haired people should only marry brown haired people, blonds with blonds, red heads with red heads, large nose people with large nose people, and most of all people with a mole on their cheek should really stick to marrying other people with a mole on their cheek - and the same cheek too! It's just so unnatural otherwise!

lol pax

I am glad to hear your father is doing fine...but the article, even if you don't intend it to be, is offensive...I'm a minority myself...hope it's not unnatural for me to be responding to a white person's blog.....

Fine, and fine. You do have that right to be a racist, as long as it don't affect your decisions on hiring people, and other company business.

Don't marry with a person of same sex as you, and different race than yours if you want, but don't presume to decide for everyone else. Not everyone agrees with you. Besides why does someone having a different race husband/wide/whatever really affect you? Same goes for same-sex marriage. How does that affect you? If you can marry in heterosexual term under the freedom laws, why can't they marry under the homosexual term?

I remember reading this somewhere... it goes something like this:

"Your right to throw punches end at the edge of my nose".

Freedom gives you a lot of freedom to do whatever the hell you want and say whatever you want, but it ends at point of forcing others to your way of living. Everything, even freedom, has borders. So, enjoy your own playground and I'll stay in my own.

Oh, I agree with you. Lol. I shouldn't be posting in here since I'm a white deaf male with brown hair with white lock in front. Of course, there probably would be total of 20 or 40 of us in this entire green and blue earth, if even that

I was raised like that and that is just the way I see things.

I was raised in a completely white area.  Heck, I think the entire county only had about 4 blacks and a few hispanics, and the blacks were children who were adopted by white parents (one of my friends from a different town was one of them, and he called himself an "Oreo", which was pretty funny at the time).  The largest "other" nationality besides "white" was the native americans.  It's so very easy to be racist when you have no life experiences with other races and other cultures.  I knew many people who were like you, and for all I know, they are still like you.  It's just not healthy to ever say "this is how I was raised".  You need to learn for yourself and make up your own views.  "Small town, white America" will end up doing you a great disservice in the end.

Please go to a multi-racial college or University after you get out of highschool (I can only assume that you are still a kid considering how you write and the things you say).  You *really* need to learn about other cultures and open your eyes to how the world works.

The best thing I ever did was to move away from the place that I grew up in.  Since then, one of my favorite things is to learn about other cultures, traditions, and food.  It's a big world, and many wonderful things are out there to learn.  But, you will miss out on a lot if you don't open your eyes and see that "race" shouldn't matter.  We're all just people.

There also was a time when women weren't allowed to be "educated".  I wonder what would have happened if we would have kept those views?

Astoudingly there are some that consider the education of women 'progress', where it is merely another left-wing tactic to offend God, England and St George.

Sir Peter, you should have stuck to your original post, rather than watering it down with the subsequent two.

Regardless, the first one you posted was pretty funny/ hilarious.

Anyhoo Stacey, good luck on your path to enlightenment.  "Them colored folks" can get to know up from down, can't they?

I feel so bad posting this hear. I don't even feel right talkin on JU anymore. I feel that I will get bitched at and then have no friends by what was said.
Okay most people who know my know that I have a problem with writing and trying to get my point across. After rereading my article last night, I found what most of you were getting to.
I wrote an Apologizing article on A-C Blog but only one person I believe has read it. SO If you really want to know what I was trying to say go there. PLEASE by all means. This last article about the doctor didn't turn out the way I thought it would be at all. SO sorry for making people mad at me, but I guess I don't have anymore to say, but Sorry.

Alright guys, I'm sorry, but you don't have to go about name calling here. You don't know Stacey so please, don't accuse her of being things she's not.

Maybe people who do things like that are the reasons people like Stacey didn't know what she knows now. You all think she should already know this and already know that, but you're being narrow minded in thinking that. The school we go to is, almost, totally black. It's not even 1% of our school populus. We have had black families move in and usually the cornfed hicks of our disgusting school literally force them to move. They drive by and mug the kids. You'll probably never see half of those kids get out of our county and then they'll have kids the same way.

If you really want to make a point, go introduce schools to these people of minorities and try to explain the real world to them. I know Stacey a little bit and I know she didn't mean wrong so I said my peace and let her go, maybe you should do the same without becoming the racists you claim she is.

Can you explain that?  It doesn't make much sense at all the way that it is written.

Is it fair to blame a man who drowns in an ocean because he could not find a twig to hold on to?

Is it fair to blame a man who drowns in a pond because he refuses to get on board the luxury liner that is blowing its horn at him?

Are you in a pond or in an ocean?

It's never going to get any easier unless you let it.

Good luck!

What an atrocious lack of basic writing skills from a so-called high schooler.

Young lady, it would do you well to spend less time blogging and more time studying.

Karma wrote: "Please go to a multi-racial college or University after you get out of highschool..."

At this rate, no decent college is going to accept her.
