Why are you doing this to us God!!

Why are you doing this to us God?
Do you feel we don't have enough drama goin on already. Yet only this.
Don't you think we have already had our share of damages to my family.
First about 3 years ago the week before christmas my dad had a heart attack and almost died. Then to come home on christmas to no house to live in that was to much excitement for me. NO home, NO dog, what more could you possible want.
Well this is a new year every for good luck they say to eat pork and sour kraut. I ate mine but it surely didn't bring good luck for my family at all.
The first week of the new year and I have a grandmother in the hosptial with a swollen leg with an infection in it .
And a dad that almost had another hear attack. The doctor said he had a 100% blocked artery and another 50% blocked artery. The doctor said he will most likely have a 2 bypass surgerys if not 4 bypass surgerys, depending on what they think.

Why are you doing this. I have enought to worry about with school and everything let alone to worry about if my dad is goin to make it.
I just talked to him and he is doing fine. He was just able to sit up and walk, but whats to say that something will happen tonight or tomorrow before the surgery. What if he is goin in the morning or when I get home from school. HUH!!!!

Please make it stop, I just want to by and family without problems is that to hard to ask.
I don't this much stress anymore, the fire was enough now this Why??

Is there goin to be anymore PLEASE not.
What did we do to make you do this HUH. I want to know...

Sarah - that was pretty melodramatic in itself. I think Stacey's got some genuine concerns - sicks parent, sick grandparent etc. - show some compassion and support.

Stacey - God isn't to blame, bad things happen because that's life - we have to take the bitter with the sweet. It's all a learning curve.

No matter how great, or awful a life with no sickness, pain, or disasters would be, we would still experience the same extremes of perception. Even if there were no disease, no war, no tragedy, we would still enjoy the top end of the experience spectrum and complain about the bottom.

No matter how good, "good" could get, whatever happens that we consider "not good" would be tragedy and make us wonder why "God" is doing this to us.

I don't know if this helps, but it may be something to think about.

I'm going to pray for you and your dad, Stacey. I hope he gets better and his surgery goes well. But, try not to blame God. He has his reasons.

..My life isn't much easier, but these days I learned something out of these troubles:
God takes away the things we rely on, not because He is upset on our lack of trust in Him, but because He knows that we can't live efficiently unless we don't totally depend on Him .
We sometimes forget to look up until something hits us and knocks us down. Only then do we remember that there's someone up there. Even if I don't want to addmit, I have to. This is mostly me and maybe you too. Many times, God has to empty the throne of our life so that He can have His place there. But as everything seems to go down and you don't know what to expect more, remember that Christians are persons that belong to an unchanging Person and live in an unshakeable kingdom>. I hope you are one of them too, I don't know you, just trust that God knows better. We are too narrow--minded to understand Him or His thinking fully. We just have to accept it. That doesn't make things right but it gives us a better attitude... Hope you're gonna be ok and you will also turn these situations into your favor by learning something from them. Take care.

Very good words!!! We can't always choose what will or won't happen in our lives, but our attitude is ALWAYS ours to choose.

You can't blame god because there is no god.

Sorry. But blaming "god" for bad things is like blaming Santa Claus when you get a crummy xmas present.

But I hope things look up for you.

Well if Stacey believes in God or not is her choice. Besides, that' s not even what this is about. It's about her dad.

You just cant attribute human motivations to God, otherwise God is no better than anyone youd meet on the street. God is more than that, but is accessable to you on a personal level when you need to be lifted above the wearing burdens of everyday life.

I know what youre going through, my dad has lived through 8 heart attacks, a codine coma and 4 strokes. And to think he still does yard work and lives a normal life...

We'll be thinking about you here, hope your dad gets better soon.

hey Myrrander. But what will you do if there is a God? What are you going to do if God exists?
Are you willing to take this chance? It's a matter of life and death, heaven or hell, you know.
..I wouldn't play with such statements. =-( It's not a risk that's worth taking.
Maybe you aren't willing to accept that God exists because you don't want to change your life, with all that is implied here: habits, vocabulary, maybe friends, places etc.
Some people don't want to accept that God exists because they can't reach Him. Trust me, I have and many others too!!! And it's incomparable.
But, as Jonathan Swift wrote, "it is useless to attempt to reason a man out of a thing he was never reasoned into. "
