Multiple Monitors Multiple Cursors?

This is not my goal

I have a 2 monitor setup with Cursor FX installed. I have gone through and chosen my cursor and adjusted its settings, however, while I am moving the mouse between monitors I notice that on one monitor I can get it with the settings changes I made, on the other monitor though it show the base settings for that cursor. Note: I can change which monitor has which settings by having the Cursor FX software open on that monitor but it always makes the other monitor the base settings.

Any thoughts on why this is occurring?

System Specs:

11th Gen Intel Core i7-11850H
32GB RAM
NVIDIA RTX A3000 laptop GPU

Resolution Monitor 2: 1920x1080 60Hz

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information.

  1. Windows full version number. Use Winver.exe to get those.
  2. CursorFX full version number.
  3. Monitors Scaling factors (100%,125% etc)
  4. What settings were set  Size, color?

Thanks

If you Exit CursorFX, does the standard Windows cursor exhibit this same behavior?

basj,

  1. Windows full version number. Use Winver.exe to get those.
    1.  Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.1265)
  2. CursorFX full version number.
    1. 4.03
  3. Monitors Scaling factors (100%,125% etc):
    1. 125% on both monitors
  4. What settings were set  Size, color?
    1. The following settings are identical on both monitors
      1. Desktop Mode: 3440x1440 165 Hz
      2. Active Signal Mode: 3440x1440 165 Hz
      3. Bit Depth: 8-bit with dithering
      4. Color Format: RGB
      5. Color Space: High Dynamic Range (HDR)
      6. HDR certification: Not Found
      7. Peak Brightness: 604 nits

I did find an odd item though, the 1 monitor was connecting to the onboard GPU while now my 2nd monitor is connected via the NVIDIA RTX A3000 laptop GPU, that fixed it so my settings are all identical but the monitors are connected now via different video cards (laptop only provides 1 connection directly to NVIDIA video card).

Lesteraction,

Your post perfectly describes my situation. This happens regardless if i use my 2 external monitors or my laptop monitor and one external, or laptop and both externals. The monitor that I set the custom settings on will be the only monitor that shows those settings any other monitors will show the same mouse pointer but original settings

Sorry, should be more clear, I meant, what cursor settings you change that are not carried over to the other monitor.

Thank you,

This has been an issue since 2020. There has been no fix, no updates, and no help from Stardock.

Color was a purple that I set when the default is a dark-ish blue. The second monitor moves to the default. I also shrunk the size a bit where the default is a bit larger. but there is no true values to provide as there are sliders for that scaling of the cursor size.

Sorry for the long time to reply, Windows cursor behaved normally.

The issue still occurs but as I have moved to a single Ultrawide monitor instead of multiple I am not in super need for this any longer. That said it does not mean it should not get looked into or fixed for the future. Have a great day everyone.
