4.0 Scores, resources and a couple of tiny bugs

Hi,

I've played a couple of games with 4.0 now and firstly was wondering whether the change in scoring is a feature or a bug? Rather than the miserly winning scores in 2 or 3 figures I'm now getting a couple of million. It's fine to have some larger numbers as such but makes comparison with previous games impossible so please can we return to the small rewards of the past?

I gather that resources have been made more generously available  but are the AI also getting big bonuses (on Genius which I normally play). I've been able to buy 1/4 of huge quantities at times. - more than 1000 maybe even 1500 and doing the arithmetic I simply don't see how they can accrue that much in 180 turns or so without huge numbers of mining starbases which they patently don't have.

The two bugs are both with regard to counting.

After you upgrade a mining base eg by adding a mining barracks the displayed quantities don't seem to be updating until you leave that screen and return.

Much more importantly at the end of game which I've just finished I was able to queue cities in planets without either the displayed quantity or presumably the game's count immediately being changed. This meant that I could queue them in several planets and end up with a deficit in food rather than having to stop adding as soon as  the store went below 4.

I guess it's conceivable that this is because I had too many planets (much the most I've ever had  >180 before I  finally cashed in a technology win).  But in any case it's a somewhat broken mechanism.

Have other people experienced these and any thoughts please?

Cheers,

Jon

A few things I've noticed is a rival civilization will still send out their Prime Minister (sometimes accompanied by other ships, sometime not) into dangerous places, Trade ships will stack up (perhaps their commercial target is not yet in range) out side of foreign capitals.

We did bump up the AI and the resources you get in a game.

I have encountered that the Uncolonized Planets window will open itself during my turn refresh when I have it selected to be closed.  It does not occur all the time, so I believe it may be when a ship is in view of a planet on the list, or when the list is added too.

A side note I would love to be able to filter the Uncolonized Planets based on having the research completed to actually colonize a planet on the list; and still hoping to be able to sort the list by planet size, since the default sorts (other than name) really have no bearing on this window.

I will add one little bug myself, this didn't happen in 3.96 and I did not moded anything related since then. Bug appears when I have little money while looking at minig bases. Xeno archeology module appears as grayed out even thou there is no relict in range. When I have more credits it disapeard. Sorry no save game :(
