Hi,

itsupport@mirrorcontrols purchased 25 licences Fences

But we can't activate Fence, when we log in we can only see 2 2.x licences en not the 25 3.x.

Order number is 4175702.

Maybe the order is registered under our suppliers name: Insight.

How do we activate the software.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

That order was placed by pu******@compuwave.de.  They would have been given the keys at the time of purchase and still have an email record of the purchase / keys.  Please contact them for details on it. 

That said, one person from your company had activated one of the keys.  They are

It might be prudent to see them as they may have the rest of the keys.

Ok,

I think i know who that is, who activated one key. But when you try to activate a key you have to fill in your email address. Does that mean that all 25 licences now can be installed with a key and the emailaddress

A good question and one I wish more people would ask / know.

No, a key is not tied to an (email) account until it is activated for the first them - only then is it tied to that account.  That order has many keys (the rest) that have never been activated yet.

OK, but now i'm lost.

If i try to fill in an activation key, i get the answer that the email address is unknown, when i log in to the portal with the (known to me) credentials i get the 2 2.x licences.

How do i activate a key, where can i find an overview which keys are used / activated.

I tried on my own computer to activate Fence and that worked fine with the emailaddress rin*******@mirrorcontrols.com

(I de-activated it after that)

OK,

Last update: i tried to activate a new key and a new emailaddress and it worked fine. So the problem was that we were trying to activate a already activated key (that we did not know off). As it's documented now there should be no problems anymore. Thanks for your help.
