A little something from sins :]
Hey guys,
You may or may not know me. I was a pretty ok sins player when it first released. For awhile myself and doci were considered the top 2 man team and blah blah who cares.
When we had problems with a lower player base and needed to set up 4s/5s we struggled to balance teams when there was 5 very good and 3 bad.
Ashes is almost at a point where games take so long to set up and play that balance in teams is just as crucial and no one wants to fight a noob or have a noob in a 5v5 game go down in the first 5 minutes. It leaves a 4v5 situation which is bound to allow the 5 man team to win. Assuming are all of fair skill. It would allow rapid expansion and to poke at players winning their fights on the other team thus turning the tables elsewhere unhindered.
So we came up with a community plan to get a new or less skilled player and team them the fundamentals of Sins and the right expansion paths, 1 turret expansion on moons and roids. Counter plays ect.
Sins is a little more involved when you have wing, eco and suicide in normal 4s/5s Knowing how to deal with the suicide as the player or being next to one is paramount.

Ashes is really no different in the case where there are certain plays that can win against someone ill experienced over someone who knows it's coming, prepared or otherwise.
2 node start is a prime example. we taught a newbie yesterday how to 2 node. At first he was saying " but we can get 4 metal nodes build instead of trying to 2 cap. That would be better right? - nooooooOooooOooooOoo.
So anyway I'd like to put myself forward to teach one person, I'm in discord under the name Vre.
I'm not too sure if it matters weather or not you're the best player out there.
Obviously, Dan, Das, never, neinh should definitely pick someone up! ![]()
I've only ever been to rank 14 and basically stopped playing before the patches which changed brutes from 6-4.
I also stopped because Stardock didn't implement a decaying system with the ranked structure! (Fix this!)
So I'd like to think I have at least some knowledge to share.
This will certainly help maintain an online presence, keep people playing and overall create a stronger community.
My steam name is Pyccy.
Take care!
