TEST Trying to post an image with an google drive URL

How to post an image stored at Google drive in the forum?

The image is shared. Anyone with the link should be able to see it.

Not finding any way either to get a direct link. I just use Dropbox public folder, it's free and easy to use.

It has to be a direct link. It can't be to a page url.

Really weird though, when I click the image it opens in the current page, and again in a new page at the same time.

I noticed that too.

Ok I'll use some other pictures hosting service which provide direct links. Hostingpics does it but they rather not have users do it to save their bandwith. I guess a link to a URL might be cached but not a direct link. I actually don't know. Thanks all.

Sorry for the confusion. This image is hosted at screencast and posted with the HTLM code they provided. I wanted to be sure I could posted an image. It seems that google drive doesn't provide a direct link and I wanted to avoid to install a new software on my computer.

Thanks Primal Savage worked fine but the limitation to Google user sounds too heavy

Photobucket will provide a direct link. Upload to the site, once done hover cursor over image upper left hand corner, three white bars. A drop down box appears, click share. Screen will blur, another window opens, click on direct link, it will say copied. Then come back to this thread and click on the little green tree. A dialogue box opens, paste the link in the upper field then click insert.

Thx for the info. I'll stick with hostingpics because they don't even require to create an account or provide an email adress. I'll see how it goes.
