1.03.3 Ship designer shows ships from previous designes that can't yet be built.

In this snapshot you can see I have selected a ship I designed and named "Analizer M3a in a previous game. I have not yet researched the tech that would allow me to design or build this ship and yet it is showing up on the list. It requires some miniaturization before enough hull space will be available (see the red bar near the bottom of the designer window which shows 100 of 94 space units used).  This should not happen within a game.

They will show in the designer but not the shipyard.  You can edit the ship and make it legit with your current tech.  With bonuses it is possible to design ships that you might not ever see again until you hit that ultimate bonus.   It's a safety feature because there is no designer on the main menu.

It only shows ships that you have the tech to build but not the space.

Franco, that was my point. In order to have the space to build the ship as designed a miniaturization tech that hasn't been researched must be researched. Hence, the ship should not show up in the designer.

It probably shouldn't. These designs go back to the bug (now fixed) where you could build a ship with old techs after you had shrinking tech and they would be available to build when you started a new game. I have been deleting those designs if they are not soon to be available.

That is is the only way I know to deal with it. I haven't considered it a major bug and I doubt it will be addressed anytime soon.
