Quick Logo and Custom Pic Question Please.

need some xml refernces

Adding in some more custom logos first. Making the logos isn't the problem. I'm not sure what script to reference them in so they show up in game. Also the references for custom race pictures would be pretty handy as well. While I'm making them I might as well bang out a few at once.

Just the names of the xmls I need to edit/add to would be very helpful. I'm assuming they're in the my docs\my games directory somewhere as well, correct?

Thanks for any help/info on this. If you want any specific logos or pics just ask. I am glad to be of service. I'm using PSCS4 so knocking out some small pics on request literally only takes me minutes. I can dropbox them if need be.

:)

Okay I'll give it a go.

As far as Backgrounds download any background/wallpaper png file that is 1920x1080 and place into folder

C:\Users\[Your Computers name]\My Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\Factions\LeaderBGs

Foreground pictures works best by cutting out anything else associated with the picture other than the image of the leader itself.  One can use many programs to do this one is Adobe Photoshop which you can get a 1 month free trial, or there are other free web based editors out there.  This picture also works best as 1920x1080 .png file.  Once this is done place in folder.

C:\Users\[Your Computers name]\My Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\Factions\LeaderFGs

Leader pictures should be cropped from the previous imaged and reduced in size to 128x128 .png file, then place in folder.

C:\Users\[Your Computers name]\My Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\Factions\Portraits

Finally Logos, any icon\logo image in .png will work again should be size 128x128.  Once you have a file place that in the following folder

C:\Users\[Your Computers name]\My Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\Factions\Logos

Last start the game and they will appear for your custom factions.  Note if you already have the game running you will need to restart it.

Indeed I'm using Photoshop. That's what PSCS4 is. It's a older version of creative suite. Can't afford the new one and the old one has always worked fine for my needs.

I did see your earlier post in that thread, I just didn't see any mention of referencing xmls. So I don't need to reference them anywhere at all in any text files? Just make the pictures correctly and they show up in game during race creation? That's incredibly easy and handy if so.

:) Much appreciated, my friend.
