Is there a benefit to having our trade routes originating at different planets or is best, as I have been doing, having them all come from the planet with the Trade Capital built on it?
As far as I've been able to tell, it's best to have them come from the trade capital unless you can make the trade route a lot longer by starting at a different planet. Cue one of JoeBall's amazing algebraic analyses in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...
You can see all the bonuses to trade routs on the trade routes screen. In general, you want all your trade to originate from the same wealth-producing world as close to the edge of the galaxy as possible.
