I think something is very wrong with influence

Krynn taking over the galaxy, influence covers all of the galazy save for me

Something very weird just happenned.

I'm playing Terran.  All major civilizations are active in the game, most of the minors too.
Suddenly, the map turns out all bright orange, as if everyone is now in Krynn's syndicate zone of influence.

As far as I can tell, no one has surrendered all at once.  I can still see the other races planets, so they haven't surrendered that.  I can see them all in the diplomacy screen.  If I try to trade techs with the Krynn, they don't show me any techs that I don't have (their list is empty), so I don't think it could be some sort of weird tech upgrade that I missed in the previous games :)

I did notice that their influence started going up very fast, they took over all of the Iridium planets with their influence.  I think what may be happening is some bonus from their starbases growing exponentially?  One hour ago, the game was normal.  Now suddenly, in a few turns, they have 3/4 of the galaxy.

I submitted two saved games for review, but I'm wondering if someone has seen something like that so far?

Ticket #GEO-344-68837

EDIT: And a few turns later, all the map is orange :)  Ugly color.  I want my beautiful blue back! :)

Ok, here are the saves if you want to take a look at it.

There they have about half the map under their influence.

Two turns after that, it grows to 3/4 of the map

Two more turns and they take all of it.  My planets start to flip, I am gone.

Actually, that was about an hour before this started happening, all appeared normal:

Just had a look at your saves... That's not Krynn - that's Iridium influence!

It seems like there's ONE planet that's giving the influence. Notice how (in the unexplored space) It's all straight lines.

They have one planet (Henrik III) with 2018 Influence, growing at 1.1 per turn.

I don't have much time atm, but in a few hours I'll take another look, if it's not already solved.

I expect it's an ideology thing.

Whoa, then Henrik III got taken over by the Krynn, and suddenly has 5016.5! Nice...

Edit: I had a bit of fun!

Something seems to happen when the planet gets conquered. (Tested multiple planets with all races)

When a planet is conquered, its influence seems to double (and then +% modifiers from tech, etc, on top of that)

I'll submit a ticket for this, referencing yours.

No, it happens with all races on all planets, regardless of ideology and buildings. It is an issue with invasions. The devs put something in aimed to stop planets flipping back after invading, and it worked too well.

Invading planets is already too easy as it is, and it would be much more realistic for an invader to expect considerable resistance from the local population after an invasion. If such an effect exists it ought to be toned down severely.
