Custom Faction Music

I take it in the full game each faction will have their own theme song on the diplomacy screen, but all custom races do not.  Why not have it so a player can set their custom faction theme, from an mp3, For example I want to make a galactic empire type faction, and I want my theme to be something by Holst or Mozart. I'd even want a custom battle theme if possible to be something like Mars, Ride of the Valkyries or Hall of The Mountain King when I'm fighting them/ as them. Not sure how this would work online, i've seen it done before in some games.

I remember replacing individual music files in gc2 with some Babylon 5 battle music for the combat and the old Ascendancy game ambient music for the galactic map. It was very easy back then. I'm sure it would be just as easy now. I don't own the game atm so I have know idea about gc3 file system structure.

Yes I did that, replacing battle music with some of the sound track from space battleship yamato and adding a large classical score, however I'm talking about faction dependant soundtracks
