How about little graphical improvement in next DLC?

I am thinking about burning parts of planet surface upon orbital bombardment for certain period of time. Its one thing i miss "visually" in the game. Not really sure, if its technically possible, as it would require another texture type for all the planets...

Nah, you could just have a fire particle that plays and slowly dies when the planet is hit by bombardment. I think that would be more likely in a mod than a DLC though.

I'm kind of hoping that they won't make another DLC.  This game on its current engine has run its course, IMHO.  In two months it will be 6 years old.  Instead of more DLC, it's time to begin work on a multi-threaded Sins-2.

This has been debated many times before, but I do not think more DLCs mean it will take longer to make Sins 2. Sins 2 will almost certainly be made by Ironclad Games, and they are mainly working on Sins of a Dark Age. Until that project is complete (or at least publicly released), I don't think Sins 2 will be seriously worked on. The reason we've had Rebellion and the DLCs appears to be because Stardock is now doing a lot of the development work, so the people working on the DLCs are not the people who would be making Sins 2.

Its not the same, i would give you benefit of doubt, that its perhaps doable, but as of now i think what i have in mind is possible to do only by texture. Preferably animated one, where the intensity of surface "burning" is varied.

On topic of more DLCs, i agree with your opinion, that they probably dont have much influence on potential development of Sins 2. And yeah, i still want more DLCs.

BTW, i dont know who exactly was responsible for each of the Sins game, if the first one was purely Ironclad game published by Stardock, or it was some kind of joint venture between both companies - mostly from the game-design standpoint. The same goes for Rebellion. Bottom line, i like the Rebellion the most of the series, for me its the ultimate game, superior to the original in every possible way, so i hope the same people, regardless of the company, are going to work on Sins2. Especially the ones, who came with idea of subfactions and Titans.
