Which monsters are under/overrepresented in their threat level?

I was curious if you all found certain monsters to be exceptionally hard or easy for their difficulty?

For me 3 comes to mind:

1) Darklings: I find even medium threat darklings to be a joke to fight. Their attack is so low that once i have just a little bit of defense i can mow through them.

2) Ophidian: With a x3 special attack bite, very high defense, and magic immunity, i find these critters very tough for their normal medium threat. If i'm not careful with them i can get a tpk.

3) Trolls (any big creature with maul): These guys are a crapshoot. Sometimes i roll over them. Others then will butcher my strongest guys with a single maul. In other words, their threat level depends on the luck of the maul.

Haunter armies are labeled strong, IIRC; deadly would be more appropriate.

Ignys, yes, are pretty overrated.

Noone mentioned wolves?

High init, fast movement, double swarm, and the great wolf gives all the other wolves its level as an attack bonus, which normally doubles their attack.

Before you get to move they already munched down half your army, and your just thinking in dismay "Wolves? really?"

Wolves are fairly weak. A great wolf army, is pretty scary. Weak -> strong

The pyre of man seems like a pushover to any stack that's deadly or stronger.

love taking beastmaster and getting ahold of that great wolf. He can carry an army for a long time.

I find that a pile of Wildlings with three Shamans (which cast coal stones) can be pretty daunting.  They should probably be bumped up.
