Game not closing properly for anyone else? (Steam)

I just started playing the game today after purchasing through the Steam Winter sale a ways back. It updated to 1.2, and I played through the tutorial before I needed to leave my PC for awhile, so I exit from the main menu and it *seems* to close. Back at my desktop I go to exit Steam and it says its waiting for Fallen Enchantress to close... then says please close Fallen Enchantress before exiting Steam. I read around on the net trying to find a solution and I found a couple similar threads here and there but with no solutions or official responses.

Is anyone else having this problem? The only way I can close Steam is to kill it's process in Task Manager. (btw I looked for Fallen Enchantress first, and its not listed in apps or processes anywhere that I can see) This has happened all 3 times  I've started and exited the game now.

Instead of clicking the exit button inside Fallen Enchantress I left it open while I popped into Task Manager and manually killed the FE process, just to see if it would make a difference. It did not. I'm still having this issue every time I play.

Fallen Enchantress does not use Steamworks, so you might try just sticking a shortcut straight to it someplace and not running via Steam.

not sure, but i would try

1) Verify game cache integrity in Steam

2) run exe as admin

3) unistall/reinstall

I've come to the conclusion that this is/was a Steam problem, so I appologize for posting it here on the games forum. I do appreciate the responses though. I did a complete uninstall and reinstall of Fallen Enchantress, and started playing my first game. I'm happy to say that I just got back from exiting the game with no issues.

I think it may have had something to do with the way Steam updated the last patch, because I did briefly enter and exit the game when I first bought it, before I had the time to play it, and I had no problems back then.
