Vasari's Assailant- Possible guess to their enemy

Who or what is their enemy?

I was looking one day on a post about the Vasari's unknown enemy, on the Sins Rebellion category, and I saw a possible theory as to what the Vasari's enemy was- and I added on to it using some theorizing and some heavy thinking as well as more thinking added on to that. Here's what was posted and what I said underneath it.

"The only evidence we have about their existence is that they are something of the Vasari's own making, have been chasing them for the past 10,000 years, drive the Vasari that see them insane, destroyed the Vasari Empire, what is on the Kultorask's underside (provided this is actually something and not just us seeing what we want to see), and that there is some other clue hidden somewhere in the .exe which apparently should only take about 7 minutes to find.

Anyways, the pic of the Kultorask's underside is this:

This can be interpreted a couple different ways that I can see.  The first is one that portrays a Vasari (white) and a chaser (blue) in which the Vasari appears to be alarmed as the chaser attempts to eat it.

The second option has a Vasari head (white) with the chaser (blue) where it appears that the chaser is some sort of infection that walks around in a decapitated Vasari head.  Alternatively, this could just be an image of a Vasari face (my personal view) and the "chaser" is just the lines that happen to be nearby to make the ship look cool.

When compared to the original Vasari head, it IMO makes this option more likely simply as it's a better resemblance."

I'd have to agree with the second picture shown by your reply. I read the manual- "...Crew was found driven mad with fear..." And It suggests that the Vasari crew found on that ship would HAVE to have been infected, bringing up the question- what is this enemy that infects them, driving them insane? or WHO? But then again, this question's ALREADY answered FOR us, right? On the case- "...An ancient empire running from a terror of it's own creation..." These two things suggest that not only did the Empire create it, but also signed the deal to their own doom. If this infection led to the insanity of the crew, and the second picture shows this, then my best guess would be that the Empire was trying to create some sort of living organism that ensures maximum loyalty to the Empire, but it went terribly wrong, leading to absolute failure, and thus, the destruction of the Empire from within. This could possibly be my best guess as to what it was that the Empire was running from, as well as what it MUST have been DESIGNED for. If you guys agree, then we might just have another enemy to await in the climax of this epic game series.

The paragraph above this is my post, and it's a POSSIBLE guess. I'm only posting this here to see if it's likely, or not, depending on your opinions, should you post. If it's unlikely, then post if it is, also post. I'm hoping to see some people who not only agree or disagree, but even hope to know what the enemy is the Vasari is running from. Thanks!! =)

To clarify, I find this to be a nice discovery. I just remember the times when everyone and their pony had a different idea on what the Vasari were running from and weren't afraid to say it.

I have actually wanted to pose the question to the Sins community for a while now - does anybody really (really really) know what the enemy is? And what evidence do we have to back it up?

No one knows. Everything we know is in the original Sins of a Solar Empire intro, and a comment from the devs that there is a clue hidden in Rebellion somewhere. Some think it's on the Kultorask. I'm not sure I buy it.

Or...the devs are trolling you cause there ain't no clue...of course, being a troll, I sometimes assume everyone else thinks like me....

Where do you guys read this lore? because in the manual it says nothing about a terror by their own creation...

What if the devs knew that u would think that they were trolling because u have a trollmind so they choose to not troll but you think they trolled you anyway. So in a way they trolled you by not trolling.

Also your post made me lol.

Personally I like the intro movies as the best source of lore. Both the original Sins and Rebellion intro movies say it directly. The manual has some nice details on the individual ships, and the website gives some nice information on the races themselves, but the intro videos tell almost everything we know about the story.

I have no idea why people think they can be the next riddleking -the troll master. Your petty attempts are very amusing boys, girls and shemales. Now run along and go ** a goat.

...

The vasari are just paranoid and i told you so many times before that there being chased by there own shadows..

O.o Uhhhh...Okay, never exactly intended to start a debate...o.o damn...And riddleking, I don't think that any of this suggests that the Vasari are paranoid...And if they were being chased by their own shadows, why is it that you had to randomly come up and say so? =l Even that in of itself doesn't make sense to me. =P

I said on the game's CASE, not in the manual. =P I thought I'd have to point that out eventually after I posted this =P

check the other threads too.  Many checked meshes/textures against all possible skybox colors (I put up a video that showed nothing definitive) and threw out lots of ideas, but I still think it is the Dreadlords only because GalCiv is a stardock game and SOASE was Ironclad's first game.  StarClad can't put in anything that either doesn't exist (cause that's just "What's in my pocket" cheating hobbit bullshit) or belongs to someone else.  The whole "We hid a clue in the code where you can't get to unless you violate the EULA by cracking the game code entirely" is also BS because only IC has the keys to do that and if the community did, we'd have way to much fun modding the core of the game.

There is something chasing, but there is no way to give an accurate answer.

I'd have to agree, because no one knows what it is, and we'd only have to rely on the devs to give us the answer to that one in the next pieces of the Sins gaming series, and IF IT IS a playable race, then we have something interesting going on. BUT, unfortunately, I TOTALLY disagree about it being the Dreadlords, because even though it's GalCiv, they can't intertwine two games with another. Movies? Understandable. Games? I dunno. Because this next faction would have to be something the VASARI EMPIRE created. The case totally says so, as well as the videos in the Sins of a Solar Empire intros. So, it just can't be the Dreadlords.
