I thought for years that "furries" were an internet joke until I became friends with a guy who did furry body painting at cons.  It took me about a month not to laugh when he talked about it.

In his defense as a male, he did have women stand in line and pay him to paint their unclothed bodies.  To each his own.

As said I was explaining it to Axxo, both the positive and negative stereotypes. I specifically said I had no idea what the ratio between them is, but I think its a safe bet at least 1 person who watches the show (like everything else) for not so innocent reasons.

I find almost all TV to be a waste of time personally. I really couldn't care less what you choose to watch. Its just most fans of annoying TV shows stay on fan sites dedicated to such things, and I don't see them. Many bronies however seem to like to take their identity with them everywhere, like here, which like Axxo I do not understand and find curious and sometimes annoying. If I wanted to see pictures of colorful ponies in every post I'm sure google could find more than I could imagine.

Yes...or you could stay out of threads dedicated to colorful ponies.  But what sweet irony it is for you to stomp in here, imply that a goodly chunk of us are very likely to be slavering perverts that fornicate with all sorts of unseemly things, and then act like it's our fault we got insulted because you came into this thread with all it's colorful ponies.  Too funny.

yeah, most of it all about old guys getting in touch with their inner child and forcing it to endure all the sick shit other older guys have done to a little girl's cartoon.  Seriously, some of it is enough to make you want to drill a hole in your head and pour in battery acid.

Bronies are very similar in how they behave to similarly aged anime fans in the mid-90's.  I did my share of cringeworthy things back then.

I got no problem with bronies, not a fan of the show, but some of the art is nice, and I have plenty of friends who love the show, and I understand why.  Many of them also love fighting games (and there is a MLP/Fighting game crossover that was demoed at Evo this year)
