Define Irony (concerning the Vasari)

It's no secret. People ban the Vasari rebels because of the mobile starbases.

The funny thing? The race with the best counter to the mobile starbase is.....you guessed it. The Vasari. Specifically I'm getting a phase missiles and their ability to focus fire a target.

I'm not 100% sure, but to make things even more amusing, I think the VR get the unique phase missile upgrade that increases missile damage even more.

You wanna know what is even funnier about the VR banning? VL > VR nuff said.

Actually, the TEC might be best at focused fire because of the combination of Snipe, Targeting Uplink, and Designate Target.

Vasari being able to bypass shields entirely is nice, but unless you're not micromanaging your targets in a fleet fight, I don't really feel like any one race has a major advantage of focus fire, but I spam my target orders constantly because I don't trust the AI to remain focused after 1.5 seconds. Without micromanaging I'd agree with Volt and say TEC are clearly the best choice.

I should note I vocally chant 'DIE DIE DIE!' everytime i right click attack orders. When stuff doesn't die fast enough I get angry and shout KILL THAT MOTHER $^$%$%^$% RIGHT #$%#$% NOW YOU WORTHLESS PIECES OF #$^%$%!!$#@$@#!!!!!

#$%$##$!!!

I am glad I play this single player only.

Yup, tech is Advanced NME Warheads, and increases the damage bonus to 30%.  Then there's the ability of bombers to hit the SB from behind (bypassing Frontal Shields).

I'm wondering if there's any answer to a VR fleet with a Kultorask, mid-large sentinel count, and a ton of bomber-carriers - light frigates would get frozen & torn apart by the Kulto (and cruisers would soon follow), bombers get erased by Charged Missiles on the sentinels, and any capitals/titans/SBs get focused down by 100+ bomber squads.  Guess a titan+capitals with Jam weapons might be able to pierce it, but that kind of plays into the OPs point.

Truth right here...snipe is ridiculous, and designate target just makes it so ridiculous that late game you only jump your orkies so they can run away from the ragnorav...

Seleuceia, I've been busy changing some files to make titans(And some other ships) a bit more...balanced/stronger imo...Snipe is like, crazy strong now, but with a way longer "reload" and AM use, it kinda fixes the issue IMO, since it can't blow up 5 capitals in 1 minute with snipe anymore, but only 1(Unless the other is too strong and tanks it) ;p I just started it, so it's no where near balanced yet, but it does make it more fun to fight the ragnarov.
