Ships on the land of never-never

I had a large fleet of capital ships. Once I told them to jump to another gravwell, they merrily decided to either move or teleport to a location between two planets, around 120 degrees off of the direction of the planet. initially I thought they just disappeared, but they were still taking up ship slots and showing up in the planet gravity well. 

There is something wonky with the path-finding for sure.

This is a rare bug. Get a saved game of it and send it to the devs to solve.

I've had something similar where some ships would just leave the gravity using their normal speed (mine were chasing something i believe). brought them back by selecting the ships and telling them to move back to the gravity well.

This has happened to me too, but no more than a few times.

 

OP: Did you have a (Vasari) titan in your fleet?

My Titan was happily leveleing up on a different gravwell.

My strike craft were happily 4 minutes underway to get back to the gravity well :|
