Autocast bug with Jarrasul?

So I've been caught up in the tide of people obsessively playing vasari lately. I've noticed something vaguely annoying about the Jarrasul. So seeing as my initial use for it is as essentially a very large colony ship. So I send it to a planet. It has   colonize set on autocast. And I send it to its first planet. And it has nearly full antimatter, so casting colonize should not be a problem. So I kill the militia. And the ships sits there at the edge of the system waiting for me to manually cast colonize. Plenty of antimatter, it is able to cast it. But it sits there anyway. Not necessarily a game breaking bug, just mildly annoying to me.

I had that autocast symbol on that "star" icon, which is used for leveling abilities with my Jarassul. That should not happen, right?

I've also had rather stunned Jarrasuls.

You can set your caps to autolevel, which is what the autocast on the level up icon means.

Oh, my bad, never realized, this is possible. Good to know. Thanks

Yeah, it is annoying.  And I've run into the same problem.  My colony ships aren't autocolonizing.  Despite having enough antimatter, and even sitting right next to the planet (ie within range).  I think its bugged.

I'm beginning to believe that it is associated with turning auto-colonize off at some point, and when you turn it back on, it won't work correctly then.

Oddski, do you recall turning auto-colonize off at least once before this incident of failing to auto-colonize?

No, I usually leave it on autocast. I have tried turning it off and turning it back on after it won't colonize.
