[SUGGESTION] Humongous Random Map and/or Random Map w/ variable settings

I'd like to see an even bigger than Huge Random Map, as that's what I usually play in SP, that would be Humongous or something like that. Like 50-100% more planets than huge maps.

It would also be nice to have a custom random map with sliders for:

number of systems

number of planets

hospitality (affects odds of colonizable vs. non colonizable gravwells)

phase lanes (affects scarcity of phase lanes on each gravwell)

wormholes (affects chance of wormholes, possible to disable them)

resources (affects probability of resource asteroids)

I like this suggestion. Stock random maps and map designer are still too specific and non-random, even with all set on random.

True random map generator like in GalCiv2 or Tiberian Sun would be very cool.

Also a way to save generated maps is needed.

I just wish they put as many Artifacts as possible into each map and not just have one artifact for every ten planets on each like it is now...

k1  for random map generator with settings. (Galaxy Forge does a good job with this)

k1  to save random map (Galaxy Forge does this too.)

You can change this by changing the "planetArtifactDensity" line in each map. Default value is 0.15, aka. 15% chance.

Also,, I can increase the size, and even the amount of systems, in either of the two Huge random maps to make a new, Immense, random map, if you so desire. I can also, for variety's sake, disperse the players across each of the various systems in the multi-system map, versus everyone starting in one or two. Lemme know if you want something like that.

That's modding right? That's great. I just think the game should have this option outside the box, like the Civilization series.

Yeah, it's modding. I'd like to see it in the box too, with the ingame map designer, which can in fact do everything you mention in the OP, I would imagine that such a thing should be possible for IC/SD to make.

just having the militia on the planet on a galaxyforge made map use the set for isplanetowner would be nice.

Actually, I'd vote for "Endless" maps.

Scouts get a new ability "Deep Space Exploration", they go away for 5 minutes or so, and discover a new solar system that wasn't on the map before. Could even have new AI players on it. Would let you play to your heart's content.

Just disable the scouting ability when you reach the maximum number of planets

While a feature like this would be extremely cool, it will most likely fry your pc while the galaxy expands further and further...
