Crash not creating dump.

I have had a few crashes on the beta2, but the dump is not being generated.

I could not identify any particular in-game action which could have triggered the crash.

One of them froze the game and gave me a warning, the other was a straight crash to desktop with no warning. The audio disappeared some 10 seconds before this crash.

[EDIT]

The second crash created an empty dump file, but with 0 KB.

Is this repeatable? Can you create a save game file at some point before the crash? If so, I would send that save game file into Stardock and describe at which point the game crashes. They might be able to use that file to reproduce the issue internally.

As boshimi says, a saved game that replicates the crash is probably more useful than a minidump as the devs can see (using a debugger) what bit of code is crashing.

They can then use that same game to verify than any fix to the code actually works.

You could also looking for crash files in the same directory as the game itself, I've noticed a few .mdmp files get saved there.

Eg: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\sins of a solar empire rebellion

theres another thread or 6 on crashes to the desktop with no minidump already on the forums. No, save games do not recreate the issue.
