OK guys/n gal (hiya dark).   I'd like some help from the community.  I do my best to organize tournaments, the community as possible, etc, and I'd love for you all to make a minor sacrifice for me to help get us up to 100% of all players using the demigod mod package.  Whether we are pals or not - if you've been on the forums for more than 2 weeks, you know me a wee bit at least.  Help the community out by doing the following:

For the rest of the week, please host games using mods.  I'm not asking you to play crazytown or favormod games or whatever.  Do that if you want and have fun with it.  What I want to see is the majority of the hosted games using uberfix at the very least. Hell, add in the ai mod or just add that if you want and don't even use it.  I'm actually convinced that we have a 75% adoption rate of the mods.  I'd like to bump that to 85% within the next 2 weeks. 

To make this happen, you folks just need to host the games with a mod on.  AND make the small effort of adding folks that don't join your games as a friend and pointing them to the forums.  Uberfix does a heck of a lot towards fixing the bugs still present in the game.  And the ai mod, though it has it's flaws, makes games with a small amt of folks into something more fun (even if you only have 3 players, jump to the other team and add an ai reg as long as you know how to spam a little dmg.  I trust you will have a decent change of winning.

So - if you are a huge fan of dg or a pal of mine, help me out and lets get even more folks using the mods so you can host a favormod game and be confident that everyone that wants to play can join you. 

If you will help out (just for 7-14 days) please jump in here and agree to host games with some sort of mod enabled and invite folks.  We already know that there is some wait time for most games.  You might have a crap game that is completely uninteresting - but more folks will get the mods.  I, for my part, will try to encourage the mod makers and get us some new content.  My latest project will be to drag Exx back.  :P  Oh, I will get you.

It's really annoying to see all the players, even that ones that are frequently here and for sure have pavocs mod package, don't host at least games with uberfix...

 

Esspecially the good ones that many people know could carry this project to a sucess.

"Nobody would join" is no arguement here, because only real newbies don't have the mod package installed...

 

So, can somebody tell me a good reason not to host a game with Uberfix 1.05?

I've tried hosting Uberfix games, doesn't work out so well, got maybe 3 or 4 of them.  And there's no opengames website any more so who cares, you take the path of least resistance in these trying times.

If seriously, so yeah... All should do that, but most players are lazy, or simply don't bother. They are fine with bugs and don't want any changes.

Well, it was not meant so seriously, hope the smiley indicates that. =)

But in many jokes there is also a bit of truth. Very new players won't have the mods maybe and so can't join. But they would be curious and try to get I think.

Well, all I can say it that I won't host a game without Uberfix. Hope others will do also in the furure. =)

Well good luck to you.  One thing to try is just hosting like it's a normal game.  I was putting Uberfix in the title which seems like it scares people away even if they have the mod because they'll assume other people won't join the game, and the last thing anyone wants is a longer wait time.
