Political Machine 2012?

It looks like the forums are abandoned, but I'll ask my question anyway.

Are there any plans for a PM v.2012? I hope so!

I played PM04 and PM08, and I thought 04 was much better. I hated the bobblehead graphics of 08; they looked terrible. If you do build 12, please go back to the original charicature drawings. I thought they were much more satirical and fun. Anything would be better than those cheap and ugly bobbles.

Also, is there a way to play against friends online? If not, this would be a neat feature to add. Also how about an option to export your customized candidate and share him/her with others? Maybe users could upload their custom candidate to the PM.com website so other users can download them and play. That would be fun, to download my friends and let me play their character against mine.

This year it would be fun to see a Trump character; also Stephen Colbert. I'd also like to see former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland in the game. He campaigned heavily for Obama to deliver a battlefield state and was just recently rumored to be the new chair of the DNC (but lost the appointment).

I REALLY hope we get a PM12 very soon!

Hey Rsottney! I am a customer/player as well! I'd like to see PM12 out soon myself! I just got PM08 about 2-3 months ago, and enjoyed it. I would like to see a feature where we can play online as well!

I bought PM08 to try and play Local Area Network connection with my twin brother, whom we both love politics! I was disappointed to find out that you can no longer play Multiplayer on PM08 anymore. I hope that PM12 comes out very soon, and hopefully they get Ron Paul right this time. They said his fund raising ability was low, when it really is high.

I'd also like to see Scott Walker (R-WI)  in it as well. I hope the multi-player feature is much better in PM12 then PM08. They told me they probably would come out with PM12, but I don't see it anytime soon :( Hopefully next month would be nice xD but that is just me getting eager.

Oh, I'd also like to either see a Primaries feature in it, or the ability to run Republican vs Republican feature xD

I already have 2008. Can someone tell what kind of game enhancements exist that would make me want to buy 2012?

Hey Rusty! Well it has a working multiplayer option for one; there is not much different from 2008. Only a couple of additional characters, and a couple of issue changes (Afghanistan instead of Iraq, Defeceit Reduction, etc).

Rusty,

Some of the highlights are...

-new candidates (including all republican primary candidates and improved art for some 2008 candidates)

-additional issues, tea party endorsement, updated state political leanings, and interview questions

-new UI appearance

-much improved usability on map views

-new tutorial screens and speech results feedback

-improved balance on some gameplay aspects (ex. a speech that doesn't go over with voters generates a lot less awareness)

-you can now post images of custom candidates to facebook directly from the game (minor, but we have a ton of fun with this feature)
