I can't use my spell checker anymore?!?!

I can't use my spell checker anymore?!?!

I use a program called IESpell when making posts in forums to correct my often flawed spelling mistakes. I do this by typing out a reply, then highlighting everything I just typed, right clicking on it, and there's an option in my context menue that says "check spelling". Now I can't do that in the reply box. Please fix this.

I can do it on other forums still so I know it has to be a very recent change that's been made here. Now when I highlight what I type in this box and right click I have very few limited options.

Trust me, you're going to see my spelling go down hill rapidly around here if you don't fix it :P , especially when my meds are kicking in or if I'm particularly "baked"  that night...LoL.

Any thought as to why it stopped working on Firefox?

There was some changes needed to the site/forum which 'broke' a few things.

It'll get sorted....

Glad to hear.

The 'native' spell-checking also seems to have stopped working, at least in FF. Dunno if that change is a bug or a feature... ;)

Not sure if the forum gurus want to read this or not, but with Firefox, if you put about:config in the address bar (open up a new tab and input that so you can follow along), you'll be taken to an amusing little warning screen that says something about voiding a warranty.  Click the I'll be careful I promise button.  In the filter bar type in context and you should get a line that says dom.event.contextmenu.enabled    default    boolean    true           Double click that and it'll change to a bold font, and say dom.event.contextmenu.enabled    user defined    boolean    false          You get control of your context menu back as well as your spell checker.

Lets see  if it works   nope..... does the same thing and underlines the misspelled word but right click on it and all it gives you is the spell checker is checked but no help with spelling. Same as it always did. Good tip though. But I don't want to Zubish. XO

I'll be pushing an update on Monday that could resolve some of these problems.

Using Safari, and it comes and goes like now it's fine. 12 hours ago, would not work....

Edit. Now that I think about, I can't remember if it was doing it before I upgraded to the final release candidate for IE9...

FYI, IE9 is currently not supported and so you WILL experience issues with it. The Monday update should resolve many, if not all, IE9-related problems.
