[eLIB] Spell Particle Effects (video included)

I dabbled into the particle editor, and after spending a couple of hours getting used to it and trying things out, made the first spell effect.

Found out that it's pretty easy to make pretty good looking random shaped clouds in the editor, in addition to everything else that's possible. I'm open to specific requests for effects and am happy to help anyone getting around using the editor (even though I'm still only learning myself). I'm not going to be creating my own mod, so these effects won't be included in the game unless someone wants to pick them up and use them in their own mods.

Here's the first version of the first effect, Thunder Strike:

Well done. Perhaps you might put those you make into a .rar file for dnld.

I can see a great use for as many cool spell effects as can be made.

Keep up the good work Sir... :)

Thanks!

I'll pack them once I have more than one available.

Awesome, I'll definitely keep an eye on this for effects for the Murteas Grimoire.   :)

Murteas, better yet I'd suggest you give me a request if you need an effect made. I'd gladly try to do something specific. It'd also be good practice for me as I'm trying to get used to the editor.

Also, created another spell effect for kicks, Corrupt Elements:

Keep in mind that all the effects are easily tweakable, so if you have use for an effect but it's not exactly the way you wish, just give me a call. :)

Question:

Do you all have typical values that you use when you want an effect centered on a target's head or the middle of their body? I've tried and haven't been able to get it just right.

Just curious if you other spell modders have any "best practices"?

Human models seem to be about 30 units high. A tile is 100 units per side. The problem is that different models have different heights, but I guess using 30 for head and 20 for chest would be about right. Haven't tested the values myself though, so I'd be glad to hear from someone who has more experience as well.
