Can i assign capital names for the factions?

I made some costum faction and it would be nice if the first city had the name i want.

I the corefiles there is a row:

<Capital>Altos</Capital>

I thougt this must refer to the name of the first city. (after a while i recognized, that every nation has the same name in this row, so Altos isn't the name of the capital, maybe this has no relation with cities either)

So puting this text (with the cityname) into the custom race files doesn't do anything, or i just missed something.

Is there a way to assign the first city name?

Thanks

Unfortunately, there are some codes that just don't work and I believe that's one of them :(

Didn't work for my custom faction, unless it's a tag for AI only, that it should name the capital city that.

Maybe later, it isn't a realy important thing.

I think it may work if you delete the whole Ignore set near the top of the file. It doesn't do anything but suppress functions.

The <Capital> tag only works for minor factions.

Ah that makes sense, since their capitals are automatically placed. I've never noticed if major factions have the same capital names every game, I never really checked.

I've searched to see if anyone could shed any light on this, since this tag wasn't working for me either.

Given the information here, it definitely doesn't work on major factions (messed with the ignore tag; no luck), even as of patch 1.11...  indeed a shame.

If anyone knows a way around this problem, please inform the masses (assigning names to AI-faction capitals would be fantastic).  But I'm assuming this potentially useful tag is going to stay forever useless for whatever reason.
