I remember our little botf vs bots duel with ub and I pretty much owned you with botf

Dark Crimson Vial beast is the way to go!

Anything not BotF gets my vote. I'm so sick of the BotF bandwagon.

There are quite a few ways to look at this.  I'd side with BotF 90% of the time though especially in a 1v1 on cata.  It most boils down to whether or not I'm going to let a beast spam spit on me.  If I am and just let a Bots UB kite me, of course I'd lose.  But, I probably wouldn't do that.  So, in a 1v1, the Bots ub can drop towers faster, but there's not alot of porting aound the map anyway in 1v1.  Anyway, I'd think Bots UB is probably most viable in 2v2 and > games.

Countered by TB (for most the game) or any UB. That said, if there is not an enemy UB, I say that a pure Ooze is stronger than a hybrid.

He means pure ooze mith, no spit.  And I totally disagree, pure ooze is useless unless there's an oak and a sedna on the other team.  If there is I'd go pure ooze and anklet.

I think it also matters who your teammates are and what favor they select. If i got two teammates who have botf, i will tend to go bots.  However, if both have other specility favor items with low health, and the enemy has botf, I will go botf to help hold flags early game.

pure ooze can be fun  But even if there is an oak, finishing the build off later with points in spit isn't a bad idea.  If he blows his shield on the first spit.. then great.. spit on him afterwards, + he doesn't have shield for awhile.  If he doesn't.. then it does just as much good as it would to anyone else

which reminds me.. yesterday I got to do a a straight ooze build until midgame when I picked up a couple points in spit, and a straight spit build (except 1 point in ooze to help with the creeps.. easily could have just been post mortem but that shit is STILL BUGGED).  Both builds worked amazingly well for the situation!

oh uh.. anyway.. bots or botf.. depends I suppose on the map, number of players, and demigod selection.  1v1 cata?  I'd probably go bots to take down all the towers and start off with boots of speed to cap every flag asap.  Just constantly avoid the other beast until midgame when all his towers are gone and bots really starts to outperform.  If you can survive the early game weakness, it's good in 1v1 on cata.  Generally though, I would say botf.

from my experience, i think the serpent beast owns the blood beast pretty early on. infinite mana plus extra damage...

However for 3on3s i prefer the blood because you need the hp to stand as a tank in battle...

I'll take any naysayers to fight my serpent beast 1on1^^

For all the none believers of pure ooze beast being not so good I pose the question of how many times have I used it against you and beat you with it? The most recent example is when I trashed GM + Rawrr + Kollectir on Zikurat a few days ago.

Ooze doesn't take up all the points, so what do the spit points go to in a pure ooze beast? Inner beast I'm guessing?
