Am I making any appearance at all of losing weight?

Obviously nobody knew this website was myspace in disguise...

Well this is the offtopic forum...

In feb of 09 I had surgery on my nasal passages for turbinate hypertrophy and and a diviated septum.  This caused me to gain 100 pounds (due to not being able to sleep properly) after losing 100 pounds in 2002-2006 when I had all kinds of viruses/infections, which ended up being due to losing 150 pounds in high school and killing my gall bladder...  Whew.

So after 4 years of gall bladder surgery I've only had 1 virus (A mild cold, this past winter, I was hoping for 4 years without a virus), and in 1 year I've lost 50 pounds.  Do I actually look like I'm losing anything?  I really don't care if anyone responds, but if you do, tell me the truth.   Somebodies opinion of your looks is usually alot more telling then yourself...

Well, unless the person responding is an asshole.

Me in 2008, 310-320 pounds (can't remember)

2009?  I believe.  300-310 pounds.

Today, 274 pounds.  Still need to lose 50 or so just to be skinny.

Yep--your face looks skinnier.  Congrats.

I agree, you do look slimmer - both in cheeks and neck.

But I think another 50 pounds would be a bit much. That would put you at around 125 pounds. Unless you are very short, that would leave you underweight. Maybe another 20, or so.

Lol, that would put me at 225, counting current muscle buildout, which would be about right for a large framed person like me.

Sorry, I guess I had a brain malfunction. I was thinking you were down to 175, not 275, judging by the pictures.

Also sorry, but from the photos you don't look like you could still be ~275 pounds - no matter how much muscle or bone.

You sure you have an accurate scale? Or are you nearly 7 feet tall?

Between the first and third, I can definately see difference, especially on your jaw/neck.

I agree with those that said you lost a little weight in your face.  You don't look overweight by your picture.  Just a big guy.  The military has a scale for height to weight ratio.  Looks like you might be fairly tall as well.  You also look fairly healthy in the last picture.  Seems like your doing fine.  I don't know what exercises you do or how much time you spend on that, but if you spend at least half hour a day doing some exercise you should be fine.  I recommend walks with dog(mile or 2), stretching, and maybe some light situps.  The stretching you should do slowly and focused.
