My new 'toy'

Can't be Just Another FIA 'Observer' ALL the time....

http://www.playseat.com/

I have the computer [i7-920 12gig and XFX 1g GTX285] ....I have the racing sims [GTR, GTR2, GTL, GT Evo, NetKar, GP4, rFactor, NFSU, TestDrive Unlimited] and....I already have the wheel/pedals [G25]....

Logical progression [and an Office/Computer desk rebuild imminent] and it's only fitting I drive in 'style'...;)

'Should' turn up here in a day or two...[for some reason it's coming from Perth, WA]....;)

All you need now is some high-octane petrol scented aftershave and burning rubber incense.

Looks like fun!

Don't forget the full-coverage insurance option, racing can get rough.;)

 @ some comments. On a more serious note and out of curiosity : Where does the screen reside ?

Where does the screen reside

If it was me...52" LCD TV mounted on the wall

Extremly nice toy, Jafo.

Now if they could come up with something that would simulate the G-force of driving.

I don't think there's a built-in monitor. It's just a (very large) peripheral designed to be used with an existing computer system (or, I suppose, console).

Now if they could come up with something that would simulate the G-force of driving.

If you experience G-forces while driving, let me know when you're on the road, so I can stay indoors. :)

Caution....it comes equipped with a "Smite" button....

Damn! For € 777,00 you'd think they would at least throw in some seat belts! Oh....and don't worry about stains...just cut a hole in there and install a bucket and your good to go! XD

G-force is felt in almost everything you do, including driving.

Here's some examples...

2.9 G's in a sneeze
3.5 G's in a cough
4.1 G's in a slap on back
8.1 G's in a hop off step

If you experience G forces at those levels in 'normal vehicle' dynamics then apologise to the tree you just hit....;)

My seat will be a black one so no 'issues' with panic on Nordschleife.

Re the screen....it'll stay on the 'work' desk where it belongs...;)

Looks pretty comfy!  I can see somebody falling asleep in that (late nights n' all). ;)

i once used a G-Force raquetball raquet many moons ago...........like 18 years ago. it was good but ektelon was better LOL

Well....I have it....

It's all black [frame and seat]...and I put the gear lever fitting on the left [where we use them in Oz].  The build quality is nothing short of excellent....and the all-up cost, with the gear selector addon and delivery [from Perth - 2000miles away] added up to AUD $777 ..... worth every penny, too....for anyone 'seriously' into driving....;)

I'll post some pics....though at the moment things are a bit temporary as I'm building a new office/computer desk soonish...;)

Bench/desk is currently happening...so seat is in the hall at the moment....;p

Um yes, you must have the gear lever on the correct side ;)

Cool but what kind of gas mileage does it get? B)
