I am so sick of the Demigod player community

Yeah my stats dont have 500 games (actually 15 or so). But NO ONE will play with me, purely based on stats. This is the worst community I have ever played in. Honestly, Im so sick of it. I can see why no one plays this game online.  I know how good I am compared to other players. I have 15 games or so and 30% score, but how can you judge me by that when this whole game is based on TEAM-Play?  wtf? most of the time I lose matches thanks to teammates. I started playing this game on the demo for months, until I bought it for its $20.00 that its worth now.

I am severely angered at this community and I completely understand why this game has died quickly. Dont show fecking stats.  I'll stay with Supreme Commander.

Simply host games titled as "everyone welcome" or "noobs welcome" etc., or join ones that are titled as such, and you should be fine. Or mix it up with Pantheon a little.

Dont show fecking stats.
This won't change anything, because you can still view the stats on pantheon.demigodthegame.com. And most people would not want stats to go away completely. I personally love stats ;). I even start playing Forged Alliance every once in a while, simply because I missed PlayerTrack so much. On that note: are you angry about the Supreme Commander community too, because of PlayerTrack?

No, I've never used PlayerTrack, so I dont know how it works or anything...  And in Forged Alliance Im ranked well anyways. Its just that the Demigod community is so small now, that its hard to find any games where they wont want to kick you.. The stats mean nothing really, especially at 15 games, because got so much experience through the demo for months, but they just dont care. I get into the game with some of them after convincing them that Im not a noob, and it usually turns out that I best them in demigod control

Even if you don't use it, you will be tracked by other players. If your nickname is Tagster/Anarky_Veleiro in Supreme Commander, then I can see the following information for example: you have been tracked in 32 Games, you won 4 out of 16 finished games, you have been marked as "Do not play" by 4 out of 19 PlayerTrack users etc. Some people complain about PlayerTrack too, mainly because of the high DNP value they get. But so far all those people deserved their DNP marks so it's not a problem, imho.

You are right, the stats don't mean much, especially after a reset. But as I suggested, you just have to increase your game count one way or another and you will be able to join games with good players without too much hazzle again.

First of all those stats hardly inspire confidence that you know how to play the game or are any good at it, there are worse stats but almost anyone can win 4 or 5 out of 15 games by getting on pro teams and pathanon.

The main reson they do this is that having a bad player (relitive to rest of the people in the game) on your team generally resaults in your team loosing the game. Only in high level game with friends/pres does teamwork and cordination decide the game.

Though its hard to get a game at the moment if you need to up your stats join the dark side in pathanon, if you cant get your wins to 50 percent or higher there then your stats are a good indication of your skill. 2 out of every 3 games in pathanon are vs noobs and the others are looking to get decent stats, if you are and average player you should win much more than 50 percent of games.

"most of the time I lose matches thanks to teammates."

LOL, u dont seriously thinks anyone buys that from a 30% with 15 games. I dont mean to offend you but it would be easier to take your complaint more serious if you would have admitted that you were noob instead of coming with the standard excuse "my stats are fucked up because I always have bad allies"

Like ppl said earlier and like I say to pretty much anyone with such stats if they try to join a game that I host: join or host a noob game so you can play with ppl on your own lvl. there is just little fun in playing with some1 who really cant play. (Im pretty sure you fall into that categorie. I might be wrong, though) I agree that the community isnt always nice but a game takes 30 minutes and depends so heavy on teamwork that having a bad player on the team just isnt much fun anymore because you will lose pretty bad. either the bad player dies all the time, thereby feeding the enemy, or he is so careful that he is useless. and there are some other issues like helping allies at the right moment and correct use of ports and such. (there are some guides on this forum with lots of simple tips)

join lagwars vent and we will vouch for you.... tada you can play games!

Let me guess, your a pro with AA reg and you refuse to play a general?

I dont know how many people I've given the benefit of doubt base on stats and about 90% of the time their skill does reflect.

If you have 15 games, then host some noob games and since your a "pro" then you can easily win. And dont say you cant cause your teammates are noobs. In any real noob game, one decent player who actually knows how to play a competitive character can dominate a game.

That brings a lot of credit to those you vouch for :|

You cant ever get into a game, and once you do, if your teammates think you are a bad player they just leave. Ive completed like 2 full games till the very end..  I thought SupCom was bad until I started playing this.. really. If you are lucky enough to get in game, most likely when one side starts to lose that side will just RAGE QUIT and the game wont even finish, its ridiculous! Way too competitive! If that stupid "Stats tracker" didnt exist in custom games, whereas people could practice without being so worried about stats.. well it would be a different game.  I just finished a noob titled game, and they still quit!

Ive played SupCom since the beta vanilla and its never been that bad.. Absolutly worst gaming community I have had experience with. It doesnt have to be so competitive! Thats my goddamn point.

Anyways, thanks for the helpful information Spooky__

Thank You.

umm lemme think if you are on vent with a mic, you probably won't play a stupid idiotic build and if you do we can tell/show you why it sucks. Also, i meant that we will let you play on a team if we have enough ppl for an all vent game and if we don't you can be on our team even if you suck .... clearer?

Strange.  A lot of times I see nothing but "noob only" games, and I have to make a game or wait a bit of time.

When I started this epoch, I was running around 18% win ratio.  It wasn't because I sucked.  In the previous epoch, when I wasn't the worst, I was running around 39% or so win ratio.

I was a legimate example of a bad luck run early in the current epoch.  Because everyone had the 'same stats', I could not tell who was noob or not and I wasn't smart enough to use he website to look at historic games in the previous epoch.

That said, due to law of numbers, you will overcome your record if you keep playing if you are really good.

Just play a lot of noob games and you can easily overcome the "low win ratio".  It balances itself out in the end.

You can try playing Pantheon and picking generals. That's an easy way to win. :P

I often kick low stats players on my game called "good players", cause as you said, this is a team-play game, but most of

the players with low stats havn't enough experience to be trusted on the field (taking citadel upgrade soon, teleing at the right time etc ...) and make the game enjoyable.

I vouch Spooky and epiph, you still can host or join all welcome games, or go on Pantheon :)

Rephrasing

Since when the hell did higher or lower stats mean better or sucky team work, or more experience? Your logic is broken to say the least. If you based your games teamplayon the amount of wins based off a individual; then you are not basing anything on team play, but just looking for people with high win percents or aka stat whores. Experience is based off of time spent in actuall game play, and number of games that has actually been completed, not win percent.

Agree with synnworld!!

I don't have a high number of games myself, and I admit now that I am a noob outside of using (noob) Reg, one has to concentrate on one Demigod at a time right? But going by stats and percentage alone.. thats just insane. Its hard to fit into this community if you didnt start from the beginning.

I can only speak for myself, but I run into a jerk like every 10th game which is a LOT less then any other game I play.

Just need to be able to tell the difference between jerk and frustrated.

Demigod may be fun, but I've never played a game that can piss me off like DG can. I give people a lot of leniency if they aren't doing well. Its a frustrating experience!

No it goes something like this

If I snipe, split needs a snipe

If I go OOM, split needs a snipe

If I try to avoid Ub by staying out of range, split needs a snipe

(I'm too lazy to do all of the contrapositives)
