Why Was This Banned?
Why was this banned?
If Frogboy decrees something to be so bizarre and pointless that it isn't worth staying open, then it gets closed. It wasn't 'banned', merely closed.
It was forum to see if the british empire would still exist, now the commonwleatlh, would it still be a bigger superpower in terms of miltary power?
but if people are in the forum disscusing about it? how can it be pointless.
Hilarious ridiculousness? Idk.
Sorry guy, maybe my fault... with my comment that it was more a political topic that something other...
By the way, people can discuss of a lot of things but usually forum don't like political or religious argument... not that they are bad but they are endless argument since never somebody can be right or wrong...
I thought it was rather pointless. Especially since virtually everyone lives one of those countries, it would be a very biased debate, as indeed it was. But why was it banned? Because it could have easily turned into a my country is better than your country thread, which almost always turn into flame wars. And most companies do not like their international fan bases going at each other.
Thomsin, it werent your fault mate.
i thought the question was a good one, Amercia and Britain had been at war, or close to war for ages until the early 1900's, and by then Britain lost its Super power satus.
I would have at least waited until it actually did devolve into flame-bashing before banning it....... and I've seen a LOT worse (including threats of vioence) slip by uncorrected.
I just read the topic, and I thought it was both pretty funny, and interesting. But I'll respect the troll Frogboy's decision.
yeah. me too. i do find it interesting at some point. ![]()
It's sort of so out there, I couldn't imagine things getting too out of hand.
...Uh, nm, it's it the internet.
But still, it's rediculous enough to be sort of in the realm of fantasy rather than some kind of political statement. There's just no concievable scenario where the Commonwealth and the USA would be at war. I'm saying this as a New Zealander and an American, mind you.
