There's no such thing as true immortality anyway. If your body refuses to decay, your soul and mind will start to decay instead, as your soul feels infinite emotion, and your mind processes infinite knowledge and memories, you'd be alive, but just a shell of a man.

(Kinda unfair, actually. Not only is Sasuke practically blind at this point in time, but he's also outnumbered, lost his team of Hugo, Suigetsu and Karin, he's been fighting nonstop ever since the arc started, first one Kage, then the kage and his bodyguards, then two and their bodyguards, then finally it took 3 Kage to overwhelm him, then he got healed by Karin, then he fought Danzo, and now he's fighting Kakashi, Sakura and Naruto...)
