Finger of God?

I was in a game today with a buddy of mine and we were constantly being attacked by what appeared to be a Finger of God. Now, I've heard people say in other forum posts that there is a favor item called "Heaven's Wrath", but can't seem to find it inside the favor items.

Now, I've played many games so far where this phenomenon has occured. However, this game was simply ridiculous in this mysterious attacks strikes, and it always showed as the same guy(playing Regulus) getting the kill.

Our team was doing poorly and my buddy and I were defending the center. On two occasions, back to back, my friend(playing the Torch Bearer) was running to the crystal. The Regulus guy snipes my friend, but he continues to run away with enough life to get him there. Just, and I mean just before he made it within the crystal's healing range the bolt comes out of the sky and knocks my friend dead. This is repeated another time. Both times the Regulus character received the kill.

Just to make this clear, the game had only been going on for maybe 5 minutes. It was impossible for anyone's Citadel level to be that high yet, much less have the money to properly upgrade it.

When I asked the other team all they did was giggle at me.

Any idea? Is this a glitch? An old item not removed from some people's game? A hack?

Heaven's Wrath is an Assassin only favor item.  It only does 250 damage, so it shouldnt be hurting you that much.

I'm guessing that he was using a Univeral Gadget, which is a consumable that does 650.  In principle, it should be very powerful combined with Snipe in the early game, although I havent seen anybody actually try that strategy and do well (I've seen it done badly a few times) and havent tried it myself.  UG costs 500 to use, so its not exactly overpowered.

It's an Assassin's Favor item. You have to be playing as an assassin type and click on the other tab in the Favor Points window to see it.

He was indeed using the favor item "Heaven's Wrath".  It's an assassin only favor item (Click the 2nd tab on the favor window).  It does 250 AOE damage, and has a 45 second cooldown.

In my experience it's very useful early game, but terrible late game.

UG has a short range combined with a moderate cast time imho.

Regulus might also have put the mark on you, which damages you if you use an ability.

But probably it was the Heaven's Wrath.

heavens wrath is actually really good. I mean sure its definately still better early than it is late but what alot of people don't understand is that you can use it to pop creep waves and get free levels. try it in exile where the creep waves merge together. All you have to do is watch where your creep wave is and pop it off in the opposite side. Should try it. If you catch both creep waves together its a free level up lol. The only problem is you take all the creep so no one else can kill any.

Heaven wrath on Cataract is pretty ridiculous. Keep popping the middle every other wave, level up like a madman and completely deny them creeps.

No worries. A lot of people, myself included, have been confused by the way the tabs work. Shitty GUI design.
