is there anyway to select all the strike craft/bombers at once

you have to press alt then click on the type of SC you want, if you want to select all fighters and bombers at once, you have to alt click fighters (lets say) then shift + alt + click on bombers

im not sure if there is a faster way

you can click on your fleet in the empire tree (first click=frigates and CS, second click SC), or use the ring around the grav well(also 2 clicks).

You can also bind them to a group key (ctrl+1, 2, 3, ect.).  The downside is if a squad is destroyed and then rebuilt, it won't rejoin the group.  But it's the fastest for shorter fleet engagements.

I will agree with TheRezonator, the fastest way for me is to look at the empire tree where your squads are, then hold ALT and select a bomber from the empire tree (left click, any one will do).  This will select all bombers in the region.  Then hold SHIFT and ALT + left click again on fighters to select all bombers and fighters in the region.

Sorry, Sawakaki, I do not recommend binding strikecraft to the number keys.  Reserve your numbers for your cap ships so you can use their abilites without autocast.

I don't use it too often, just throwing more ways of selecting out there.  Never know what someone will like.
