I think most people can agree that a few extra things can hopefully be added in there in that time being.

Input the game name you would like to join.

Sorting of games list by map, size, username, and game name.  Also, be able to have filters!! Do not show games that are full etc.

Possibly a join friend game feature.

Lobby chat.

Lobbies based on region.

Lobbies based on 1v1,2v2,3v3,4v4,5v5.

Refresh your connection to another player.

An auto-retry feature.  If your friend joins a game and it becomes full because another joined at the same time, not allowing you to join.  This feature comes in handy.  Kinda like the Steam version, if at all possible that is.

Of course being able to add people as friends through chat, always an ignore feature to :).

If they are working on the connectivity issue then I doubt they are working on updates such as balance, bugs and features because for when they promised the connectivity would be fixed I do not think all these can be added by that time. I think the week afterwards and so on they will work on that.
