GalCiv II Campaign Episode "Apocalypse" will not end. Any ideas?

Hello all.

I'm playing through the GalCiv II campaign now that I have purchased both expansions.  So I'm playing it using Twilight.  The episodes I am on is called "Apocalypse" and the player are tasked with defeating the Dread Lord's four planets.  I beat all four, after some time, but the game will not end.  The Victory Conditions show 100%.  I decided to wipe out all the races I was not allied with as another possibility, but that didn't matter either.  Now it is just me and the four allied team races sitting around.

Anyone have any suggestions, or read anything elsewhere, on how to get by this?  I can't move further in the campaign.  I guess I could replay it, but I've put several hours into it and don't want to have to replay it.

Thanks much.

Pretty sure this was fixed back in DA, but it was an issue only with playing the older campaigns in newer expansions. If you zip your campaign save up and send it in to support@stardock.com, they can pass it on to the devs to double-check.

I had the same issue and reported the bug. The answer I got from the developers:

The Apocalypse level failing to end is a bug; you aren't missing anything. The scenario's end condition is defined wrong, waiting for you to defeat the Krynn instead of the Dreadlords. This is obviously a problem, since the Krynn are not even playing. It should be fixed for the next update.

You have to conquer all AIs, even your allies. Build 2 maxed influence starbases next to each AIs planets and spam few turns. I always get rid of allies, I always have better use of their planets

Based on what the developers said how does what Xeevis said finish the mission?  Also when is this next update going to be released?

Yep, I had the same response from the developers.  They said I would have to start anew after the patch since the scenario victory condition changed.

Does this apply to the Ultimate edition? I finally got strong enough to kill the dead lords and it ain't game over man. I even nuked the site from orbit to be sure....

The following has worked for some;

You have edit the victory conditions using the scenario editor. It appears that the Krynn where listed instead of Dread Lords in the victory condition under the win/lose event tab and if you change that value you can then go on to the next campaign.

okay I changed it now what do I have to do to implement the change....I tried loading a new game...that didn't work...

I started a new game and reload it also didn't work.....I did notice a save called apocalypse endgame but when I loaded it, it took me back to the begining....what do I do?

Wow, English is my native tongue but you wouldn't know it from reading that post.....anyway.....

I changed the file from krynn to dreadlords...but it still isn't working.  I tried resuming my game and then starting a new one; neither worked.  I do see a save called apocalype_endgame but I loaded it (at first it started a new game, then I tried again and it took me to my last save) but it still won't let me continue.

What am I doing wrong?  Is there something I have to do to play the fixed scenario in the campaign?

This is still an issue in Ultimate Edition. Where is the scenarior editor located?

ARGH!!!!  I did the patch, every one I could find.  Spent HOURS doing the stupid "Apocalypse" AGAIN!  Still will not end after wiping out the Dread Lords!  I have the Ultimate Edition.  Is there anything that works?

I'm having the same issue. Also wanted to see if this was a bug. I played the first two missions of Dread Lords, and the game would end...only to start the same scenario again! I fiddled with it a bit and then it took me right towards Apocalypse.

Is that correct...or are there a few missions in there I skipped?
