where do we get the beta for the new expansion to try?

Man I have looked everywhere.. how the hell do we get the Beta for the new expansion they say we can try now? HELP!

I think you have to Pre-Order Entrenchment to play the Beta. I would wait for confirmation from other the other people on the forum though.

the beta is open for all those who preordered entrenchment. so, if you haven't bought it yet, you won't be able to join the beta yet (you still can, once you opt for the pre order). I'd say it's a good system to ensure that people who participate have a stake in the outcome and participate. give feedback, etc. and do not just want to get to try new stuff.

you can pre-order it via stardock's impulse, it's costs a whopping (attention: sarcasm) $9.95. for this micro expansion alone, there will not be a retail version. not worth the materiel and logistics cost.

Which I'm sad about. Have they said anything about combining the three micro expansions into a retail version? I bet they won't, just want to know if there was any news.

that's a confusing one. I think they originally planned to, but later took that back. yet, it has also not been denied. my guess is they aren't sure of it themselves, maybe some points need to be talked over with publishers (outside of america) or they want to see the numbers for the packs first. whatever. we'll see. I'm also curious how the status quo has affected the time table for the other packs.

i hope there is a retail version eventually because i don't want to have to keep buying and rebuying any of the expansion packs incase my computers screw up

When you buy from stardock your purchase is associated with yoru email.  You can download forever.

(You can also back up the archive to CD or what have youand use that if needed)

do you buy it and download it as a file that can be transfered/copied around to different places, then run an intaller? i'm asking this question because i have several computers that i change around alot of the parts, some have sins installed and i want to know is if i'm going to be buying/downloading two copies of entrenchment, will i be getting 2 files that are both copies of entrenchment or will i be getting one file that i can install 2 times?
