Will it play on my laptop?

Back of the box says 1.8 Single core processor, My Laptop is

• Intel® Centrino® 2 Processor Technology with Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor P7350 (2.0Ghz, 3MB L2 Cache, 1,066 MHz FSB)
• Windows® Vista Home Premium (includes SP1/OEM version)
• 15.4” TFT WXGA display
• 3 GB DDR2 RAM
• 320 GB Hard Drive
• 8 x Dual Layer DVD and CD re-writer optical drive
• ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3470 graphics with 256 MB

GalCiv 2 is fine and Civ IV plays OK, it says 1.7Mhz on the box but there is sometimes a bit of a stutter during the AI turn when the world is spinning, units moving and a pop-up displaying but since it is the AI turn and I am not doing anything its not a problem.

It'll play it comfortably, probably medium at least.

Pretty much any dual core processor will play Sins and most other games around currently

Acording to what it says on the back on my sins box your laptop should run it just fine. How ever laptops are hardly the most recomended gamming plateform. They migth tend to overheat so don't push the settings up to high.

I will give the demo a go, looking at the Sins website it says this.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista
  • 1.8 GHz Single-Core Processor

Recommended Requirements:

  • 2.2 GHz Dual- or Quad-Core Processor
  • 1 GB RAM (2 GB for Windows Vista)

The minimum is what is on the back of the box but the box has no mention of a recommended system

As for overheating, I play 'fast' games on my Consoles and turn based on my Laptop. Anytime the fan does come on it is usually not on for long (minutes) , I always make sure it has a free flow and the laptop is on a solid flat surface.
