Quite well deserved, especially if you include the recent patches. (And kudos to IGN for recognizing it - a lot of websites never seemed to notice the game at all. Maybe because the expansion wasn't in brick & mortar stores?)
Yet, there are still those that say MOO II is still the best. But, after playing GalCiv2 and all the expansions MOO II finally moves into 2nd place for me. But, Sins of the Solar Empire well some may like it but real time just don't cut it with me as far as strategy goes. RTS games use templates not strategy. They aren't even a good chess game since once you have a template build rarely do you ever change from it.
Beating out the latest WoW expansion is a mighty feat indeed! A testimony to your masterful work! (Very few could have achieved what you did Stardock).
