How do you change movement path?

Okay, the easiest way to ask is with an example.....say I have 4 planets named A,B,C and D which are connected in a diamond (but not from A to D):

          A=factory

B=pirates                    C=empty

           D=destination

My frigate factories are on A, B is a pirate base and C is empty.  I want to have them automatically go to D after they spawn.

So obviously I want them to travel through C (empty planet) NOT B (Pirate base) but when I tell them to go to D they want to take the pirate route.  How can I either map a manual route OR toggle secondary routes so they go through C (the empty planet)?

I run into this problem a lot, can anyone help?

There is no solution as you would want it I am afraid. You can do workarounds, like setting the rally point to where the phase line from C to D begins and then manually telling the ships to jump to D (or generally, setting the best/longest straight safe route and correcting it at the end). Other than than, you can only build/use a frig factory somewhere else or make phase stabilizers if you are Vasari.
Maybe building the frig factory immediately next to the phase line from A to C will make your ships choose this route over the other.

It sure would be nice if we were able to put a red cross stamp on planets to mark them as hazardous, which would tell all fleets to omit this planet when looking for a route somewhere (unless directly ordered).
I would definately Red Cross all pirate bases and neutral colonies. I hate losing my scouts en masse when they try to fly through these.

when holding down the shift-button while giving movement-orders, you are able to determine a specific route. but if this works also when setting a rally point?! i dont know, but i will give it a try.

Ya I don't know if that works with rally points - if it doesn't that would be a nice feature HINT HINT

It doesn't work with rally points. I checked before posting ;p.

Oh bummer :(

You've have to just pool them up and move em at once :(
