Good article, but we already know the release date since Blair said it on G4TV :P

Given what we've already seen and found out about Entrenchment, I don't think there's much reasonable doubt that it will not be worth the $10.

New artifacts, planet bonuses, skybox, cruisers, starbases, mine fields, turret upgrades (with the latter 4 all being unique for each race), more engine tweaks..

The ability to change physical appearance is probably going to become pretty popular with modders too, since it opens up some good doors for model deforming :)

No doubt, It is still news nonetheless. :digichet:

No doubt - again. I did not want to go into detail since I figured the SD people should have the honor of doing so. This was a token heads-up post like I have been doing for news stories I come across.

Now if only I could get my News forum posting rights back...  :andrew:

i think this new exp. will actually put a focus on defense as the current one requires only aggresive tactics to actually get somewhere and win.

Well agressive tactics should be the things that win you the game, but these new defensive options should be able to deter rushing as the primary agressive tactic.

I believe that was the main goal of the x-pack.  :fuzzy:
