Single Player campaign in expansion?

Entrenchment is exactly all about a single player campaign.

Entrenchment just adds on new units and buildings for Defence, the Campagain does not come until after these 3 mini expasion packs are finished.

id say they will put all the new stuff they want in game in preparation for a singleplayer expansion by using the mini-addons first.

Add a Single player campaign with a sci-fi story and mission objectives

No single player campaign - no buy for me. Even for $10 expantion.

not sure what they have planned, but what would be nice: implement a few tools so that motivated people can create storyline missions. I think there are many players out there that would do so, even I myself have created some few missions for games.

for the barebone structure I wouldnt even say that much is required, some thoughts here:

1) some sort of trigger system. if a happens then do b. that could open quite some stuff.

2) some sort of way to play messaged or display extra information. one could for example include desciption about specified planets or suns to give the environment a history, and some text displays between different factions could also help big time.

3) maybe, an easy way to create special units or something? often enough campaigns pit you against some special creature or enemy, so an extra powerful capship or something along the lines would be nice too.

Man, a campaign editor! This would be awesome!

Yeah, it would need to have a trigger system which should have two possible effects: first an action effect (ship/fleet A moves/attacks location/ship etc.) and second: a text pop up, where gifted writers could develop the story and create additional atmosphere...

This would be the ultimate addition for me...

So it is coming right? We just have to wait longer I guess...

Yes, it is still in the works, just not in Entrenchment.

The Opening movie and the universe and setting that it introduces....just cruel.  I started the game and could find the campaign button!!!!

There is so much potential in that story, please take advantage of it!
