I'v discoved that the best way to play sins is to play games one hour at a time, and to plan everything ahead of time.

As such, I have a topic going on my Clan's website planning such games. From 6:00 to 7:00 pacific time, starting on monday the 16th.

here is a link to the topic.

Planning times is fail in sins.

no, I'v already tested this.

Go to the GE forums, thier is a topic called "getting a game," it was testing my idea, I ran it for (I think) two weeks. IT was ten times funner than not planning. Ron Lugge and Anubis were involved, they can back this up.

Hmm does that mean the game starts at 6 and last till 7 or is 6 to 7 a time when everyone comes on to play a game together?

It means it goes from 6 to 7 PST. And, yes, planning does work, except for a few weeks ago when we had a clan game schedualed with [GE] and they didn't show...

If a game ran longer than an hour then I take that you would save and reload a the next play date?

If so, what's to stop someone from loading it in SP and seeing everyone's techs, fleets, planets, positioning etc?

Hey, I might be interested in playing like that. Sounds fun. I'm in Indiana so it would be from 9 to 10 Eastern. I can make it everyday during the week.

Lemme know if I can join you guys!

if you want to join, then follow the link I put above. (looks at priax)

We'd love to see as many ppl as we can.

@legolan, yes, that is what we do. Currently I am planing that games will last two hours. It is possible someone could do that. I wont worry about it untill it becomes a problem. But untill I figure something out, I guess this isn't a good way to organized clan matches.

@Evil + Legolan
It's called trust. If someone is enough of a jerk to do that (on a regular basis), then they will be removed from our little group (or something like that).

Hahah that is a really great way, imo, to prevent yourself from overdoing sins. I always start playing and then look at the clock and am like "SHIT....it's been six hours!".

lol, yea. I always feel bad when I have to say.

"alright, hour's up, game over."

I take it you play on a small map to get to the action quickly.... How do you judge who won at the end, or does that really matter???

We try to continue games. if at all possible. Also, we do medium maps to allow more than 2 or 3 people to play. ;)
