Just take a look at the screenshot nr 13

Doesn't matter what that building in screeny 13 is.
It does matter that smoke doesn't rise upwards in space.....
oh yes it does, that is if your smokestack is facing upwards.
what it shouldnt be doing is drifting sideways like theres a crossbreeze.

in any case

*TERRIFIED GASP*

I thought the 2000 fleet point limit was removed!?!

See nothing good ever comes from making fleet points researchable.

Can anyone tell me what the ship in picture 7 is? Coloration looks Vasari, but I don't recall seeing any screenshots of it before.

Cool looking, whatever it is.

That's one of the Vasari support cruisers. Honestly, I forget which one :( I *think* it's the Subverter.

Interesting. I was secretly hoping it was a redesign of their missile frigate. Anyway, I hope it is useful enough to see in play a lot, I read about how much people love the TEC support ships for the repair and shielding abilities, but haven't heard too much on vasari support cruisers.

I thought it looked similar, but the subverter's tail is more errect, I'm cautiously optimistic that its a redesign.

They're... iffy. They're useful, but not as readily so (as in, you can see how to use them as easily) as the TEC ones. One has the ability to do repair / armor buffs, the other weakens enemy shields (reduced mitigation and increased phase missile penetration chance). You can upgrade one or the other (I don't remember which goes to which) to see, and then interfere, with incoming enemy jumps, while the other gains the ability to do micro-jumps and screw around with enemy ships functioning.

This is the one I use most. It also screws with buildings. It basically phases right to them and shuts them down completely. No engines, no weapons, no abilities. They have decent shields/hull and the AI doesn't prioritize them a lot, making them pretty decent to have since they just zoom around disabling ships/defenses :)

Wow! Some of those are simply rapturous!

Is it just me or do some of those structures look like they're using the z-axis?

Either that or they're just much smaller and creating false perspective

(see shot 15 for example)

It was mentioned in other threads that structures will be using the z-axis too, but you won't be able to control it.
