jeez bro...im humbled. you liked this one 2x as much as most.

the casserole thing is something im not sure anyone has ever eaten. the ads for it run before major food holidays like easter, thanksgiving and xmas. ive never actually seen one. which is why im so overwhelming apathetic about the whole subject.

only apathetic ???

its difficult to be more or less than apathetic about something ive never actually seen first hand. photographs dont do much for the concept either.

(the smaller pic comes from an article about jazz great charles mingus which tells how he had to live with his grandmother who only allowed him 'church food' --bread and grape juice. "Later, she was persuaded to allow food one would find at a church covered dish supper, but upon tasting that horrid green bean casserole that always seems to show up at such events, Mingus went back to bread. "

That's hideous! Hideous I tell you. The only people who would make such a thing must not like food very much at all. I cannot be apathetic about it. It is wrong and must be stopped!!!! ;-(

kingbee, well done making everyone puke over the bean casserole. super effort, that pet !

i actually didn't think it was that bad ... but then, i am immune to any further revulsion from food related articles since you shared the secret of lutefisk with me.

*still gagging*'

good list ... but what are foosball and ll bean, king ?. sounds like a mexican beavis and butthead.

Death to bean casserole

could this possibly be one of those rare instances in which a poster is actually persuaded to accept the wisdom of other opinions? im now reconsidering my previous stalwart apathy. the only thing holding me back from joining yall in universal condemnation of green bean casserole is my innate sense of fairness which would require me to sample it.

how very insightful ms mig. youve just helped me realize i didnt need to taste lutefisk (with or without the necessary preparation rituals) to form an opinion.

what are foosball and ll bean, king ?

foosball is a table game that simulates soccer. ll bean is a catalog company claiming to be located in the maine woods (and quite possibly is) offering clothing specifically designed for yuppie outdoorspeople.

not wrong at all. when the first tables began appearing here, thats the way the word was spelled. same thing...sillier phonix.
