Dread Lords playable in twilight of the Arnor

Scince TA is the final chapter in the Dread Lords saga,does anybody think that they should be playable?

No, they are unbalanced (Obviously) so playing would basically be instant win. They need the air of being so evil and powerful that they are out of reach. I have though of if before but I like it how it is.

They should though spawn more often. The event that spawns the Dread Lords happens far too less than it should, IMHO. I do believe they are getting a serious tweak for TA though, should prove to be interesting.

No, of course not, what would be the point of playing a race that unbalanced? Do you want a giant "win game" button too? The whole charm of the DL is that they're an unreasonably difficult enemy.

As to them spawning more, they spawn in virtually all of my DA games, but since they start so weak they never become a real threat. The need a head start when they spawn so they can reach their full potential faster and be a proper mega-event, here's hoping they get that in TA.

That's... sort of pathetic, but to each their own. You can mod yourself a super race quite easily if that's actually your idea of fun, but honestly if you're not in it for the challenge what's the point of playing the game in the first place?

Oh, I don't know. To show up in a well-developed all-races galaxy with 1-2 small super ships, tremendous (unrealized, no production base) technology, w/ horible diplomacy skills and only one way to win -- conquer EVERYTHING! Might be quite an interesting scenario game.

Wouldn't want them playable in sandbox, perhaps...but then what about an occasional end-game random event that only occurs when you've been wiped out...you get a 2nd chance, but you can only re-enter play as a single armed transport of ?200? Dread Lords? Bru-Wa-Ha-Ha-Ha!

Could have a Metaverse category or medal for DL wins.

Not to hijack the thread at all, but i have wondered why no MV Campaigns?

Play the Campaigns just the same as normal but on the MV. And as each campaign is conquered you get a new medal...

That might actually get me to play the campaigns...i have not even finished the DL campaigns....
