The "Novalith" cannon? Seriously?

Please don't do this to me!

I know, the silliest reason in the world to request a change to a game right? I have had this nickname for over 10 years, I humbly humbly beg that you come up with a better name. Well, there is no better name, but perhaps a different one. When I had "Razlo" as a nick, everyone kept asking me if I liked Fallout. I made Razlo up, but apparently someone got there before me. I quit using it because it got too annoying.

I know you guys made "novalith" up, but...well I am probably asking for the impossible, but I had to try I guess.

Call it a P5y cannon instead.

Well if they were naming it after me, that would be ok, cause whenever somoene asked me "Play SINS much?" I could say "Yes, so much in fact they named one of the most devistating weapons in the game after me."

However, it is just an unhappy coincidence that will most likly have people thinking I am an unoriginal, name-stealing idiot. But I am not I swear!

perhaps you shouldnt steal the name from sins, name thief.

Novalith, this has happened to me a few times. I got my name from Phalanx, because i though Phalanx was spelled like Phalnax at first. It does get annoying when people say you spelled your name wrong.
Also in Lord of the Rings:BFMEII: ROTWK, I named my hero Lindor, and when the expansion pack came out, Lindor happened to be a place. People think i stole that too. I Pride myself on being orginal.
That new game Universe At War:Earth Assault (War of the Worlds look-alike) stole the name of a game i want to make. I had Universal War name since 7 years ago. Now i must change cause of those stealersat Petroglyph. If i ever make that game people will say, i wonder where you got hte name. Hate that too.
Good luck in getting the name changed.

The Phalnax thing is not the same. It only occurs because people assume your dumb, and they aren't. I never even noticed.

Lindor was most likly a place BEFORE you took the name, since they are claiming to be as true to LTOR as they can. That's more like my Razlo mistake.

As for the game name thing, I have nothing to say to that.

In my own defense, I was a poster here before that name came out. I would love to help them think of a new one, but I can't because I don't know how the weapon works. To be honest I am probably being over dramatic about the whole thing. Who can say how popular SoaSE will be? I may never even hear about it at all.

It was just weird reading the artical. It was the first thing that jumped out at me immediatly and kind of unnerved me a little. While I would be happy if the name changed, I can easily understand why that is so very unlikly.

nothing is ever coincidental, even if the idea of "nova" came on its own, you must have gotten "lith" from subconsiously thinking of name-thief here.

either that or he's tried to convince us with this clever ruse, the dickens.

You beckoned?

I just had to come back out of lurking for this

Here's another thing though, Novalith is also the name of the brand of the paper in my printer. I know i'm going some people pointing out how I stole my name from a planet. I'd say, leave things as they are. we know you were here first.

Fraser Cartel ftw

Hehe.  To be fair this falls under 'independant discovery'.  Its unlikely that we will be changing the name though, as it is part of the TEC lore.

And I was about to ask why you havent been around for a while.

why do you have two names...?

Because Multi and Kosc decided to play another cruel game of multi personallity disorder and this time it seems Alcari is the victim instead of you.

No, it really is me. One is an ancient account, this one is the one I made for sins.
Alternatively, I could just say that there is to much awesomeness to be contained in one name.

Well, I've got a Dutch village named after me (real name)... Does that count?
