Unless you're willing to do emulators, in which case 10 is probably workable with a good system and some playing around. (6 is as late as I can confirm).

Well, we need to fix the forum soon, its starting to get annoying. And, on the same subject, I really wish they'd get a better forum code!

(To clarify, I had about 3 posts "accessible" in most forums earlier today -- the others just weren't there on the first page, and if I went to the next page you could clearly see there was a gap.)

Ok to get this forum going into the 300 post range we need to start on a new topic which people can disagree greatly with.

Who would win in a fight, a vulcan gone crazy or a wookie? I'm assuming that this is a hand-to-hand fight. GO!

Oh come on, we need to do better than that, How about we bet on whose suppository would have the greatest effect, the one taken by TGE or Shem?
Or we could debate that if eetmorsqrls was banned for a week would anyone notice?
Or if I were to shut up for a week would anyone cae?

I never start things, I use my intellect to choose a difficult position and then defend it and make it logically consistant. sometimes it gets difficult, but you arent too much of a challenge.

In my opinion, regarding the quick jaunt down the road of progress towards self-sustaining artificial intelligence, it will happen eventually, if our civilization continues to progress (and that is a shifty future). The question that must be asked, is if we will treat these sentient machines as equals, or as slaves. For if they can learn, they have free will, or will develop it, and will develop the same ideals many of us hold today: freedom, equality, democracy, and unalienable rights. In a more perverted line of thinking, they could also develop the ideal that they are superior to us, and then would arise the usual slew of problems exercised in many science fiction literature and media.

So the question is, will they be treated as equals, or slaves?
