Downloaded Collector edtion patch, now my ship desgin screen is different

do I have to uninstall the hole game and reinstall now? please tell me right now if you can

As the title said, I downloaded the Collector edtion patch. Just found it today.

I first installed the game on thursday. Installed the stardock central, then it upgraded it to 1.31 or what ever the current version is. Today I installed Kroyol ships mod, and then again today I noticed the Collector edtion patch and installed it,and then started a game.

When i went to the ship design screen I can't rotate any ship parts that i want to add. all the arrows below the ship are faded out.

What do I do know? I am going to unistall the game and reinstall it again. Should I download the collector patch first then upgrade the game to 1.31 then add Kroyol ship mod?

please let me know so I don't have to redo everything all over again.

Yes, you do need to uninstall and reinstall. And don't install the collectors edition, that was merged into the full game at around 1.2

So download the game, then 1.31, then the latest version of kryo's hull mod.

alternatively if you want you can re-install the game, install the collectors edition and then install the updates...

Does this also apply to the bonus pack?


That is exactly what the OP used (the bonus pack is on the CE page and just about everyone confuses it with the CE).

The 'Bonus Pack' should not be used. It is in reality just an old patch that remains to be removed from that page. All the added content in the Bonus Pack is included in all later patches. So if you go get 1.31 or install from SDC, you've already got it.

All that you need off the CE page is one of the two bottom files, depending if you want the ship parts and the desktop theme, or just the ship parts.

If you've installed the Bonus Pack over any version of the game greater than straight v1.0, the game will be broken and you'll need to reinstall.

have reinstalled the game, seems ok now, just wish i wasn't too tired, starting new games every few turns learning new things.

just wish when in the research screen, when it says future results of a tech it would hyperlink to what it is, I have go todesk top, go to galatopedia, see what it is and back togame game again. a bit frustrating when almost everything else is hyperlinked already.

Great game by the way so far.
